So, I'm still waiting for my doctor to write the letter I need to take with me to my visa medical. Unfortunately, with a possible wait of more than six weeks before it'll be written, the chances of my visa interview happening sometime in November are becoming less and less likely. :(

I just wrote to the embassy about extending my petition, so hopefully now that I've included a sworn letter of intent from my fiance, they'll have no problems about allowing us more time.

We finally got our NOA2 after exactly 7 months!

I should be excited but I am not, because I won't be able to marry my fiance like we have planned since he will be deploying to Afganistan very soon. We're still going to pursue the visa and just get married during his R&R, next year. Oh well, this is what happens when your love life depends on USCIS and the Military :angry:

I'm really happy you got your approval! But sooooo long!!! I definitely don't recommend putting our love lives in the hands of the government! It's all just a process to them, and everything in our lives to us.

Congratulations though!!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance::star::star::star::star:

Good thing i did not plan a september wedding like i wanted to ..and now with the wait at my consulate for interviews it looks like next summer is when i'll get my visa. so much for wedding date #3..on to our 4th date. :(

Thankfully they caught up...all at once...which kind of pisses me off cuz ppl who put their P3 in Sept have theirs before mine now...granted its only by like a week or so but its still irriating. Hopefully they will keep sped up for you!

Well currently i've decided i'm moving from montreal to windsor ontario. living with my sister and her 23year old daughter has become a nightmare. im accused of all sorts of things (blamed by the daughter no less) and i'm treated like a slave, i'm expected to cook . clean do groceries etc for the 2 of them while i've been staying here.

I do pay rent, i pay my own intenet, and i buy my own groceries which they eat. i've also had to deal with the landlord due to my sister never paying rent on time, deal with the phone company as it was disconnected too.

windsor is a 5 hour drive from chicago, so i'm trying to move fairly soon as i dont know how much longer i can take being away from david , or how much i can deal with my alchoholic family, and i want to move before the snow comes.

blargh sorry for the rant.

:(

Sorry to hear about your situation. Hopefully things will be better in Ontario. Will moving put you at a different consulate for the interview? Hopefully a much faster time frame? Good luck to you!

no i'm still stuck with Montreal. but i dont really care as long as i can see david more often then every 3-4 months. getting tired of the awkwardness of the first day together again ya know? you waste a day reconnecting in person and when you only have 2.5 days together it makes it hard.

It will definately be nice for you to be able to see him while all this ####### is going on, and to get out of that house! I'm very sorry you're being treated that way by your own family. I understand about the reconnecting thing too, its almost like...those first 5-10 minutes you're all shy and stuff, its a wierd feeling.

Congratulations! Now the wait is over. It's always such an inspiration to hear great news like this. Does indeed remind me of why I'm going through hell right now.
