congratulations to you guys! bout time you got your approvals. Hope you have a speedy run trough nvc and consulate.

still no news for me i'm afraid. petition is still back at CSC since september 10th. no online update other then Post review status. it no longer even says approved. and we can't get an answer from anyone like dos , lawyer , congress or uscis for another 3 weeks.

looks like i'll be the last one sent to nvc when it finally gets re approved. oh wells. :( at least david is going to try and come down in october for thanksgiving.

Aw hon, I'm so sorry. I hope they get their asses in gear. I really really hope you can also request expedite for your interview, cuz this is rediculous.

david already requested an expedite last week when he spoke to the immigration officer..but it dont look like anything is happening. it's been at csc for 14 days now...and nothing has been done to it..i asked him to call and raise hell today. i dunno if it's a girl thing, usa/can thing or what..but if i have a complaint i write email yell call..david doesn't. in fact it's almost like he's afriad to tilli freak out and yell at him to yell at the us govt.

Definitely a guy thing! IMO My fiance waited until a couple of days before he was supposed to fly out to the visa interview before he asked for the time off work. We almost had to reschedule because his work was refusing his request. I know not every guy is like that, but in my case, I am definitely seeing the guy/girl difference in the area of procrastination. BTW I think it is awful that USCIS cannot get their act together and fix their error right away. Is is at all possible that they really sent your case on to NVC and just haven't updated their computers? NVC had our case for a couple of days before they acknowledged they had received it. Wishing the best for you guys!

Thats the thing..nvc did originally have it..but the paperwork was borked.. csc did not send the stuff properly so nvc sent it back.

because of this i am in a waiting line, and have to be reabjudicated. i'm not sure how this works compared to an rfe, but and rfe would have been quicker at this point. CSC said we'd get a letter within two weeks and nothing, i have had a touch on the case the 18th, but nada since.

just frustrating ya know? finally had some closure when i got the approval and now i feel lost again. and i'm missing david more and more and i'm back to crying alot :(

menina - i know exactly how your SO feels. i burned through my vacation time by march of this year. so when i wanted to plan a trip to visit my fiancee in june, i was hard to work up the courage to ask my bosses - even though going 3 months without seeing her is practically a family emergency.

i also really wanted to tell the people at uscis exactly how i feel about their performance. i think all of us pending march filers do - especially you kimbear. what a mess that is - i'm so sorry. but i didn't think blasting the person on the phone would help, so i tried to keep cool. (key word - "tried") actually, i was more annoyed with my senator's office, who completely blew me off, IMO. they have a duty to help their constituents, and supposedly they have the ability to make things happen at uscis. luckily, my congressman was MUCH more attentive. they at least seemed like they were helping, although i'm not sure how much influence they had on our case. why oh why uscis doesn't have a "first in - first out" policy is beyond me. but then again, government and logic is like oil and water.

in any case, i'm soooo glad to be done with uscis. kimbear - i hope you get some positive news soon!!!

Lol! I know...I need to be more patient. Now he is trying to work up the courage to tell his boss that he is leaving. I remember being in that position a few years ago. You don't want to say anything to early because people treat you differently if they know you are going. On the other hand, you have to give notice. Sigh...everything about this process is so complicated! Yes, I agree that USCIS needs a complete overhaul. I was always polite and patient with them for fear of repercussions, but I usally screamed once I had hung up the phone.

Congrats to those who've gotten some activity recently, and I hope all of us Marchies are done with USCIS very soon.

News from our end: Visa is in-hand, and we leave for the airport in about a half-hour!

Unlike USCIS, the State Dept. truly has shown that they have a heart. After being told by the embassy that it was "impossible" that we would get our visa today, we got a call five minutes later saying they were working on it, and that we should come down this morning at 10AM. The woman who gave us the paperwork (and passport with visa!) seemed very excited for us, and said that we should send them a picture of our kids. Cute, but why is everyone so focused on kids when we just want to be married first? :) As proof that they heard our pleas, there was a post it with "urgent case" written and underlined on the back of the passport.

Anyway, now instead of stressing about immigration issues, we'll have 14 days to concentrate on stressing about the wedding! :)

Keep the faith, everyone. There is good in the world of visas.

It's wonderful to hear that you were approved, Mariposa1010!!

Unfortunately for us, because we made such a huge mess with completing our financial support forms, I have to write to the embassy and ask for an extension. :( (Our NOA2 expires October 31st). I've read that they're usually pretty relaxed about that sort of thing at the Embassy, so I guess I'm not overly worried that it's going to be a problem. Will have to cancel my medical on Monday though too, so it feels like I'm taking steps backwards at the moment, not forwards.

can anyone confirm or direct us to a good thread for packet 3 help?

Just got back from my doctor's appointment (I went so as to get some things I'll need for the visa medical).

Good news: Doctor says my vaccination records are all up to date.

Bad news: Doctor couldn't write me a letter explaining my medical condition because my notes still have not been transferred from my old doctor's (we moved house end of August). Gladly though, she (the doctor) seemed to be very efficient: made notes about what she needs to write in my medical letter so she won't forget, and promised to chase up the notes and ask them to hurry them over. I hope it won't take too long.

It's a bit of a pain, but I guess it's a good idea to be as thorough about these things as possible.

Congrats!! That is great news and it will be at the consulate very soon after :). You are almost there.

The latest news is that they resumed processing on my RFE on 9/23, and got an update on 9/24. Then no touches after that, and it seems like CSC has slowed down a bit. I hope to hear some good news soon!

hopefully they've only slowed down on new cases and yours will be finished quickly as it has already been started.

i just got off the phone with the NVC, and they told me our case has already been forwarded to the embassy. 3 day turnaround - not too shabby!! i was pleasantly surprised, especially after dealing with the USCIS. we have quite a bit done in preparation of packet 3, but now we need to review the things we're missing.

i hope you other marchies are getting some good news. by this time, we deserve it!!!
