CR1 asking about I864A W2 Forms

Hello people along the journey,

I am filing for CR1 to get my wife from the PI to Washington State. My dad is the co sponsor and I am wondering if my dad should use his original copies of his W2 and tax paper work. I know that this paper work is really important for even him to have and I was wondering do we need to send original or will copies do. I know the originals will be the best thing but are copies qualified for this? If anyone will please message me and let me know. If anyone is past this and can give some advice about their experience then hit me up please. Thanks for your help.

Photocopies of his W2 and IRS tax return documents are completely fine. NVC does not ask for originals of these documents. Just make sure that the tax documents he's sending have his signature on them where applicable. (i.e. e-filed 1040s do not have signatures, so they need to be signed before sent to the NVC)
