Hi all, I was wondering what the typical time line is from the time you receive the NOA1 to the time of my fiance's interview at the embassy?

Our case was entered on Jan 12. The reason I am asking is that I would like to be there for moral support and I was just wondering how many months it usually takes before the interview is scheduled. My finace is from Belarus and will be interviewing in Warsaw.

Thanks.

If you hold me down and make me talk, I would say 4-6 months, minimum. But that is a guess. Ours was 142 days, so it falls in there (are you surprised?) but as of late things were getting slower and NVC has been doing a lot of AP checks which can add 4-6 weeks. It also depends on the petitioner. Are you preparing all your interview documents? Did you download packet three? If you are going to wait for the consulate to send this to you, add another 6 weeks. If you have everything ready when they receive the petition, you will be able o schedule an interview

depends on your local consulate in addition to USCIS time.... Warsaw is a relatively efficient consulate...

YMMV

Depends of course on the consulate....ours took 73 days to be approved. Quicker then normal. Iv read that it goes from anywhere from 3-12+ months....it really depends on your consulate (high fraud countries usually take longer)

Of course it helps if you fill out the papers quick and give them enough evidence (photos for each visit, boarding cards, etc) to not send a RFE.

Good luck in your journey!
