I lied.... She put an expedite request in for both of my petitions on top of the service request called in on the 20th. NOW.... if I don't get a response from all this I should just walk away from it, huh?

??? I'm confused.... so you actually asked for an expedite on the 20th? If u did that how come u called this morning and were denied? And if u put in the expedite did they deny it already? The rep I talked to told me I should hear back between tomorrow and Saturday either by email or mail. If it's by mail, I might not get an answer till early next week since it would be postmarked on Sat. March 7th.

I only put a service request in on the 20th for the CR-1. Today she let me put in two expedite requests due to ERROR. She said I should hear something within 5 days. But you do realize that the answer you get within 5 day is going to be an RFE asking for all the info regarding the ERROR. The only proof I have is the posts on VJ that other files are being approved before mine. The only thing I can hope for is that they look for my file on the adjudicators desk and realize it is out dated and they just process the dang thing. And really... that is all I want. PERIOD. I could print out IGOR's List huh????

I think I am really reaching now...

By the way, need opinions. My family is planning to come down to visit in July/August this year. Since there are so many of them, I was thinking of the easiest way to keep them entertained. They will ALL be staying in my house (good thing I did all the decorating and organizing LOOOOOOL). It won't be crowded by any means, but still... I was thinking to take them out on a cruise. They've never been on one before (well my one brother and mom did go with me to Hawaii and Alaska). They wouldn't know "high class" from "economy"... I searched and the only cruiseline that sails out of Texas is Carnival. Someone referred to Carnival in a cruise review as the "double wide of the seas"...meaning it was mostly trailer trash people. Do you think this is true? The commercials made the ships look nice. One co-worker went with his family and said it was nice. Another said that he would never travel with Carnival again and that it was all "trashy and constantly drunk" people. I've only cruised the better cruise lines because I don't like to deal with a crowd like that... but with my younger brothers and their kids...I'm wondering if maybe the "fun ship" is better for them.

The other options is to take them to all the places in Texas, which would require tons of driving. I hate driving! And they're going to expect me to lead the way because they don't know where to go. So I was thinking a cruise was better for this reason.

Look, if someone was taking me on a cruise I'd be happy as a pig in SH!T. I've never been on a cruise so I would probably think the "white trash drunken hillbillies " were normal. j/k

I'll stowe away in a suit case. I would love to go on a cruise. When Julia got her " make a wish" we all tried to convince her to pick a Disney Cruise but she was dead set on plain old Disney World. We ended up having the best time and we did get to meet the Disney Cruise staff members anyway.

My family took a couple Carnival cruises when I was in middle school. It is trashy compared to the smaller boat lines but for kids, it is the best. You can chose to have non-formal dinning and they have land tours that are kid friendly. Plus they have teenager lounges so parents don't have to babysit. Oh man, midnight buffet....

Exactly At least we are moving them along a little bit. I agree that for now that's all I want also. Just pull out my file and look at it, the darn thing is getting lonely up in there If this fails then I will be on my senator's case until I get an approval that's for sure!! Glad you were granted the request the scd time around. I c my suggestion worked. What did you say to her to get them to accept this time when the first time they didn't?

As for the cruise, I am game. My only condition is that my husband be on board with me and for that to happen it would mean an approval first --> then NO AP--> Done with NVC--> forwarded to consulate---> inteview ---> VISA IN HAND!!

And not it's not more than one condition and yes I should get all requests granted since we've been waiting 7+ mons for my spouse to join me. So the way I see it, it's a DAMN FAIR condition

Oh and another thing to keep in mind is that while it is true we might end up simply with an RFE, rmb AJAYC who got approved the NEXT DAY and his NOA1 for I 130 is Aug 25th, way later than ours. So you never know....

A disney cruise is out of the picture for 2 reasons. Number 1, I would DIE if I was surrounded by that many kids. Number 2, then I would have to fly the whole family from Jersey, to Texas, to Florida, to Jersey. I don't want to pay a zillion dollars for it all LOL I don't want to ask my husband because he spent an arm and a leg on our trip in October, plus he's got plane tickets to buy for me and his kids when they're ready to come. Also, if he's not here yet, it would be pretty selfish to tell him to pay for something and he's not even attending. So taking a short cruise out of Texas sounded like a good deal.

My main concern is service and cleanliness. I'm not to picky about the activities. If my husband is with me, I will be occupied enough I do want something that is entertaining to everyone though. Just let my Dad sunbathe and he's happy. My one brother is 8 years old, so I want him to have fun. My niece is 16 months so I want her to have fun too. Me personally, I like to relax and spend time at the spa when I'm on the ship. I've already been to most of the Caribbean so the shore excursions aren't that important to me. Usually I just hire someone for the day to do everything for us (drive us around, take pictures, watch our stuff while we're in the water, find us a nice place to eat, etc).

Jenn, you're more than welcome to join us! Thank God my boss is my friend (LOL when the position opened up I actually called her and told her to apply and then picked her for the position LOOOOOL). If I had a regular boss, I would never get away with all the trips to Amsterdam and the vacations.

AHHHH I am being nice. I was laughing when you said you wouldn't be able to stand all the kids. And to tell you the truth.. I wouldn't either. I can only stand my own kids... I can't imagine spending all that money to listen to kids scream... ( and not being able to tell them to shut up !!!) NO THANKS !!

OK, so two requests for expediting and one service request.... is it OVERKILL? Can they put me at the bottom of the pile for being a thorn? My hope is that they get sick of hearing from me so they will just process the dang things.

Actually, the fact that your case is with an adjudicator and you're putting in the requests...I think it's a good thing. If it was me and I had a pile of things to work on (like today)...and someone then said, "Can you check on this one? They're asking about it." I would look at it, then say, "Okay, I'm doing xxxxxxx with it." Then since I already had it out and the profile pulled up, for example, I would just process it and get it over and done with. That's just me though. Don't know about anyone else
