I agree man. I just called NVC to see if they assigned interview date but nothing yet. Then I asked operator how do you guys assigned interview date the slot alotted by respected consulate, operator replied we dont have that information. Basically all I was asking for is, are you guys assigned interview date by case completion date or by priority date on I-130 approval notice, but they have no idea or atleast this specific operator didnt know. Oh well, I guess we'll just wait and see what happens next week.

So unfortunate of myself that I have not got any date from Embassy for my K3...Dhaka embassy is so inefficient....Gushh!!! That's what they call k3-an expedited way of bringing ur spouse? I am done with NVC for CR1, and waiting for a date...lets see what happens...

I am sure you will get april interview date for your CR1. And about k3 interview it doesnt make big difference just 2 week or so.

MAY??? What r u talking about? Whenever we call at NVC, they say they are done with scheduling march interview...so ours should be in April .... Let pray to God for it...

Before you jump the gun be advice that every country INTERVIEWS is base upon the space availability. Some countries may have opening next month and some doesn't. Each consulate do work with the NVC as far as making interview appointment. So for those that have it... good for us and for some tyhat doesn't have it... hang in there. If for some reason someone cancelled their appointment, the slot is available for the next case in line but we have no knowing of that... So I hope everyone have interviews by APRIL... as far as I know the PHILIPPINES consulate is already fill up to.

I know there are a number of people who have their cases completed before me, waiting for an interview at the Mumbai consulate, I hope they can squeeze me in for April. Hopefully we all find out early next week.

For me personally I dont care what april interview date I get since I already have march interview date for k3 which I'll be using to obtain CR1.

You have March Interviews for your K-3, thats good news, converting to CR1 interviews... okay for you to do that have the NVC forwarded your CR1 packet to your consulate. For them to convert it to CR1 interviews, they need to have your case and for them to review. They will not convert that to CR1 interview if they don't have your case in front of them. So call NVC and ask them nicely if they can FORWARD your CR1 package to your consulate in time for you K3 interview. THEN you can convert your K3 tro CR1 interview..GOODLUCK and we will be hearing from you soon!

My CR-1 is complete and I called NVS to set an interview date with Abu Dhabi and they said it is only done the second week of each month for the following month. I mentioned VJ memebrs are claiming to have called and they scheduled with them over the phone. They said nonsence. Unless it is Hong Kong or a I-129F, everyone waits for NVC and knowone gets a date by just calling. What the heck?

Me too!! I have not heard of them using a date from the DS-3032. I understood it was determined from your NVC "Case Completed" date.

OK. I am totally baffled. Did you already get notice from NVC that your entire file was complete and done? Or was it that you submitted everything and prematurely and without NVC's final blessing got an April interview date? We filed CR-1 and both petitioner/applicant submitted all required forms and documents. Are you saying we don't have to wait on NVC final word? Did you also contact NVC to get your interview date or the consular? Anxiously waiting for your reply!

You do not get an interview "without NVC's final blessing" From the department of State website:

For all Appointment Posts (except, the Consulate General in Guangzhou, China) the NVC will send an appointment letter to all interested parties (applicant, petitioner, and agent/attorney of record, if applicable) notifying them of the date, time, and location of the interview; and forward the petition to the appropriate embassy/consulate. The Consulate General in Guangzhou, China will send appointment letters for cases assigned to it.

This will only happen after your case is completed at NVC. If your consulate is an "Appointment Post" NVC will schedule the interview and you contact them for the date or alternatively you can wait for the letter. Most of us are not that patient.

I think when filers are posting what they mean is they call NVC to find out if an interview has been scheduled (by NVC). NVC is correct in saying that you cannot schedule the interview by calling. The embassy/consulate forwards available interview slots to NVC, NVC schedules them and we call to see if we have a date. The wait is difficult for sure but maybe we will all have good news next week

I was told that when my husband goes to pick up the packet 3 at the embassy, he will be able to schedule the interview then. And from what I hear, it will only be a week or two wait.

Thats really gr888....I can see costa rica has real short waiting time....U will be surprised to know that, here in BD I have not got any interview date for my K3....it is been 6 weeks since I've got my approval.... Trust me, I never wasted any time whatsoever submitting my packet 3.....

Pray for us guys.... Hope to get one date for CR1...
