Oh dear god, someone PLEASE stop me from buying another car. Pretty much my ideal next car has come up on Craigslist for a measly $1800 obo. It's a 1968 Mercedes 250 S, with a 2.8L engine. It's in the colour I want. I have wanted one of these big hulking vehicles for some time, right around this vintage because they look big and scary like they might say "I'MMA GONNA EAT YOU!" I want a big scary car. Bruce said if I buy it he'll sell his Honda and buy the Snorus from me for at least what I paid for it.

Oh sweet baby Jesus, I don't need another car. But I want one! :crying:

Buy it! :star:

Behold the Sprunch!

Aw! I remember that stuff.

I also liked the Aussie "3-minute miracle" stuff. (Or was it 2-minute?)

I had a green vat of Dippity-Do that was about 99 cents. I was delighted to see it advertised in Young Miss (anyone remember that rag, before it became YM (Young & Modern)? Man, Young Miss sounds so old-fashioned. I'm getting old! :crying:

Don't encourage me! I am thinking about calling the guy just to have a look... I may end up hating it, after all. :innocent:

Dippity-Do! I looooved that stuff. I was also an avid reader of Young Miss, Bop, Tiger Beat and, when I got all cool and moody when I was 15, along came Sassy. Ahhh, Sassy, how I loved you.

Is it weird that my cat is enjoying watching the US/Canada women's curling event?

I was all about the Studio line by L'oreal. My sister was the Aussie freak.

I'm not a good person to encourage one to refrain from buying stuff. I'm great at rationalizing unnecessary purchases.

Yeah, have a look!

I got a quote from my insurance company, and our premiums would have dropped if he sold the Honda, took over my Taurus and I bought the Merc. However, I checked the MPG and, well, it gets comparable MPG to my Mustang (i.e. semi-#######). If I replace the Snorus, the replacement car has to get similar MPG (can you believe I get 30 combined city and highway out of a 15 year old car?). So alas, the Merc of my dreams will need to be delayed until I either sell the Stang or get more garage space. :( A shame because it looks almost exactly like the Merc Bond drove in Octopussy down the train tracks. And I am not selling that Stang!

*bump*

Getting myself all busyfied for my upcoming trip back to the UK -- I leave in 19 days. Yikes! It's mostly work stuff, but I am getting to do some socialising (read: drinking) and relaxing (read: more drinking) as well with friends and family. My office is in Hoxton, which I am decidedly not hip enough for anymore. :crying:

Can I just vent a little here?

My ex, whom many of you know is the reason why I found VJ in the first place, is being such a pr!ck! Yah so we broke up, and was painful, etc...but it was all for the best. I even stood by him as a friend and helped him throughout the year, even tho he was cheating on me and lying thru his teeth for the last 6 mos of our relationship. Anyways, he has decided to hold my stuff 'hostage'. I've been trying for over 2 years to get him to ship my stuff, and it's always one excuse after another. Now, he's in a new relationship (which I helped him to get into, strangely enough, with many pep talks), and now the woman has become involved in the 'stuff' as well. She's v lovely actually, and wants my stuff gone from her house (yeah, he brought it alllll with him, #######?), and yet, he's saying he won't ship it to me.

I know it's just stuff, but it just is irritating that this has to be so ridiculous. I have really expensive clothes, shoes, etc. Oh well, more fool me for not getting a shipper when I moved back.

Yah, I did...and for the whole year, he wouldn't let him come get the stuff. One excuse after another. At this point though, I don't want to involve anyone else because it's not their problem, and they would have to deal with him on a reg basis, so it's a lot to ask.

I feel like getting on a plane and going to get it...but at the end of the day, it's prolly best just writing the stuff off. *sigh* Leather boots from Harrod's, Karen Millen clothes, Gucci, etc.

What a retard. (But then again, I think you already know that. ;)) I don't know how I would handle this at this point, beyond going over there and getting it. But I suppose that's what he wants? To see you still giving a rat's ####### over him, even though you know it's actually your boots? Some guys just have SUCH a problem letting go (even if they did the dumping, or did something so outrageous as to force being dumped themselves), and this seems like one of those cases.

Poop.
