Is it possible to be put on AR before interview? Hmmm.. I believe it is the consul who would decide if you will be under AR or not and the applicant/s will know that after the interview.. Well, kindly correct me if am wrong. :)

would anyone give me honest opionon of Philippine Airlines, I flew before, but only on short trips thru Phil Islands, my fiancee is flying from manila to SFO, ok do they feed you all enough, I am used to Korean air and Asiana, they are always so good, shud I tell my honee to bring some junk food and snaks on d airlplane????? I am worried I wanna make sure he has enough to eat on flight

There will be a meal after lift-off and another before landing. They are not large meals but sufficient. In between the meals you don't see much stewardesses much as most are trying to sleep. I was not hungry on the flight, but I did get hungry while waiting for the flight, and the food at the terminal is expensive, so I would recommend he bring some snacks to eat before boarding.

NO VISA 221g.....

Well Lorna was refused a visa. They said she needs a co-sponsor. Even though my property assets were way over the minmum allowed for property assets.

My craft business has been really bad the last couple of years so my income is way below minimum. Thats why I used property assets.

And the CO was talking to her about how would I support us and how could she even afford the plane ticket.

Thing is a co-sponsor has nothing to do with my income and how I will support us. That is just to take care of public charge stuff.... which my property assets could have done.

Bummer is I have no one to be a co-sponsor. I don't know what to do now.

My spirit is really hurting. All that time, work and effort....and stress. Now this. Wow.

Mike

im sorry to hear that.. :( Be strong my co vj member...

Hello everyone! I’m back! Unfortunately, it seems our Admin blocked employee access to “forums” and I’m therefore unable to access VJ from work. Now, I have to fight it out with my nephews and nieces for computer time at home. I can only use the computer for 30 minutes per night so bear with me please.

Congratulations to Jazzy and Vic&el for getting out of AR blackhole. But my heart goes out to Mike (dims). Mike, you need to focus all your energy into finding a co-sponsor. Do you have a best friend who can fill out an Affidavit of Support? How about a long-lost brother or business associate? There’s got to be someone out there in the vast USA. Do let us know the developments in your case.

Sillygirl, thanks for taking over the list pero one last favor please, pretty please? Can you please post an updated list one last time as I am still trying to read back from where I left off. Salamat ng marami girl.

Is it possible to be put on AR before interview? Hmmm.. I believe it is the consul who would decide if you will be under AR or not and the applicant/s will know that after the interview.. Well, kindly correct me if am wrong. :)

It seems that the consuls are provided with some advance info if someone is approved or should be put in AR. Note that some of the girls would see an “approved” sticker in their folders before the start of their interview. In my case, I pretty much knew from my pre-interview with the Filipino screener that I would be put in AR. Although he did not say that I would be in AR, his body language said it all. He was sympathetic though. Even told me to take my chance with the consul.

I am flying my Fiance's mother to the main NSO office in Quezon City this week to see what can be done to expedite the matter. God willing, we will have it, but honestly I am not too optimistic based on other experiences I have had with the Philippine court and associated government agencies during her annulment.

That is the best thing to do. To go to NSO in QC and personally deliver the documents. It took me just a week from submission to have my MC annotated at NSO-QC.

For those of you who experienced or know for sure, does it matter if a girl is on her period during the time of her medical?

For purposes of hygiene, yup it matters. Remember that we have to totally undress and remove everything during the physical. Doctor will take a peep down there and I’m sure no doctor would want to take a look if the “red flag is up” (unless it's a matter of life and death). If the napkin is not there, it will drip ~ gross and yucky! Last year, I heard one girl was asked to come back after her period.

Congrats to all who got approved and those with interview dates.

I missed VJ!!!

Sorry about this, its very frustrating especially to both of you and i could feel how sad it is. But never lose hope, never give up, its when you become stronger and surely there's a way. Time wasn't just right. And it will come to you at God's appointed time. Keep on praying...

well, had my first day of medical exam today, got started at 1230 and finished physical exam at 7pm... looooong day for me, so hot inside the aircon wasn't enough, because it got crowded maybe its because its Monday, (somehow grannies lightened my day feeling awkward wearing lab gowns (or scrub suit whatever you call it) for the x-ray and helped one of them to change soon all of them one by one asked me to tie their gowns or unhook their b**s cause others were shy walking around the room without them on, hmm i didn't know we girls would still be shy after we receive our Senior Citizenhip hahaha) (",)my head was throbbing thought i was going to have vertigo attack again but managed to finish, i was ready to give up waiting for my name to be called for the last 2 steps but thankful i didn't, now i just have to go back for the result and immunization tomorrow, hopefully i have no problem whatsoever on the result (Lord help me..)

also, got my flight reservation confirmed for $1,090, so high think its because of the season, we have no choice.

glad we're moving.

Manila Embassy family and all VJ members,

I've stumbled across some amazingly concise and helpful information that I've not seen posted on VJ. I'm attaching the link to helpful interview preparation information, which will lead to searching through the various pages on this US government website.

I found it very interesting. I hope all of you do as well.
