QUESTION ABOUT THE "INTERVIEW APPOINTMENT LETTER".....

Hi,

Today I received my wifes interview appointment letter. It says she must have this letter to get into their office on the appointment date for her interview.

Problem is I can't get it to my wife before her appointment date (March 19) through first class mail.

Does anyone know if I can just scan it and send it in an email to my wife so she can print it out.

Its pretty much a generic letter on Manila Embassy letter head paper.

I really don't want to spend some $30.00 getting the priginal to here with some quick shiping.

How are you? I got the same letter. Read the black typing just under the date. This letter is a copy that was sent to your cleint/relative etc.........

Actually this letter doesn't have anything under the date as you suggested. Maybe because mine is CR-1 and yours is K-1. Who knows?

But what you said it said..... made me think. I got out the copy of the packet 4 that I have already sent Lorna, and there IS a letter in there very similar that also says she must bring that letter to the interview.

So all is good. I think the guard needs to see something with date and time and her name.

So as far as I'm concerned she already has the letter. Thanks for the help. Gets rid of a little of the stress. Getting close now!

Super Mike, I am glad that you have things all lined up. I wish you both the best of luck.

I have mentioned that we all really need to keep in touch. A lof of people here have made friendships through this process. We have relied on each other for information that has led to being patient and impatient. I wish I came to VJ much earlier in this process, but I was a member of another forum that kinda fell off the internet. I am so thankful for VJ, and all the people that make up this fine forum. I am not sure who started VJ but I want to thank you dearly for this. This process is a true test of your love for somebody. Those of you that are inpatient, such as myself, slow down and take a deep breathe and you will reap the benefits of this whole lengthy process that is in the hands of the government. Our process for a K-1 is 11 months.

It's hard to wait my friends, it is really hard. Sorting through all the feelings day and night of good ones and scared ones. It is a HUGE change for anyone to come to America from a different country. Each time I have felt scared I have told my baby and I am not one to open my feelings, but I have learned to do that with her. SO AMAZING....It helps so much, by the end of the conversation we feel great about our new life ahead. Do not be afraid to share your feelings good or bad to your loved one. If she or he really loves you she or he will understand totally.

1.) Be patient with your loved one, my uncles wife is Filippina and he told me the number one thing is an extreme amount of patience with your lovey.

2.) Be patient with this process. Everyday is a day closer to being together with your loved one. You will feel massive adrenaline when the interview gets closer. Just think of the day she/he gets there Visa in hand and you get the wonderful news. Pull the car off the road gently.....LOL

3.) Ask questions here at VJ, Someone will respond very fast. I want to continue to be a part of VJ even when my wife gets here. I want to help others as they helped me. It will be great for my wife to be here on VJ as well to help the ladies coming here to America.

4.) The feeling you have after all the ups and downs is amazing. My babys interview is next month April 11, 2007, its the feeling of one more month until she gets here. My heart pounds and I feel a surge of extreme happiness that I have never felt before. How could something so wonderful happen so fast anyway, waiting is worth it, building up for the moment that you meet your baby at the airport and you see your beautiful bride or handsome groom running towards you. I am just charged up tonight and maybe spilled my thoughts to you all, on a reply to Mikey LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of all I thank you all for being here and we are here for each other, everyone is welcome. Do not be a stranger here. This is like a family.

If you need help for anything ask right here. Anything means anything....Even when things aren't going so smooth for a huge change for you spouse. I have seen people come on here and have relationship saving reccomendations of what to do for our homesick babys.

Mike, If she did not receive a copy of it, of which she should have, scan and email it to her. It will look perfect if you scan with a good quality scanner and send it in a PDF format.

Hi! This is Jinky! We arrived in LAX, Friday, March 2nd and made it through immigration after about 30 minutes. The immigration officer looked very strict and he asked me where is Job's father. I asked him to repeat himself and then he asked if I was married to Job's father. So I just answered him, NO. Before I left, he told me if I don't want to get married that I can always go back to the Philippines...bwahahahaha. He only looked strict but he was okay - he even said, Welcome. So, after that we got our luggage. They didn't even ask for the x-rays.

I'm with my Steven now and he took us to an asian market on Saturday where I found so many home products - kangkong, calderita mix, chicken feet, and Filipino foods. I even bought Datu Puti vinegar...hehehe.

At the back of our churches weekly announcements, I found 3 Filipino dentists in our area. The church we go to has a community of Filipino's and Vietnamese.

I'll keep you all updated to a new life here!

Is lorainne answering the ext 5184 from us embassy tel # 5286300? Coz i tried calling it but was advised to contact the call center next time but she gave me the status of my visa without much details tough. Does they tell you you're in AR? Bec. im done with my interview last feb 15 and the lady from the last counter only told me to pay delbros but until now i havent received my visa. And I saw the approved green card attached to my files by the consul. When i tried to call the embassy they always tell the same thing that theyre still reviewing it and just wait. Dont they know that its torturing us especially when you dont know what seems to be the problem!!! I hate this i should be with my love by now. I got excited after i left the embassy only to know that i will still wait not knowing when it will come...atleast even an estimate time for how much long will i wait.

The urine was for a pregnancy test, though.. I was at the very last day of my period when I did my medical, and I had no problems. The only violent reaction came from the doc in the physical exam room. I guess she was afraid I would bleed all over her pristine-white sheets.. After being assured that I had next-to-no-bleeding going on, we proceeded with the physical.

That is why it is recommended to have the medical without the monthly visitor.

Blood in the urine may cause problems, eventhough both you and the med tech knows that is just because of the monthly period. With all the inconsistencies in the medical procedure, it's best to avoid possible problems - at least ones that the beneficiary can control.

Hi! This is Jinky! We arrived in LAX, Friday, March 2nd and made it through immigration after about 30 minutes. The immigration officer looked very strict and he asked me where is Job's father. I asked him to repeat himself and then he asked if I was married to Job's father. So I just answered him, NO. Before I left, he told me if I don't want to get married that I can always go back to the Philippines...bwahahahaha. He only looked strict but he was okay - he even said, Welcome. So, after that we got our luggage. They didn't even ask for the x-rays.

I'm with my Steven now and he took us to an asian market on Saturday where I found so many home products - kangkong, calderita mix, chicken feet, and Filipino foods. I even bought Datu Puti vinegar...hehehe.

At the back of our churches weekly announcements, I found 3 Filipino dentists in our area. The church we go to has a community of Filipino's and Vietnamese.

I'll keep you all updated to a new life here!

If you are filipina, you MUST use the call center, the embassy for some reason does not like to talk to folks who are not citizens. Have your fiancee in America call the embassy and inquire about the status. It won't do much good, but it will let them know that you are serious about this process. Our's too was "approved" but NOT released by the embassy for 3-weeks. Have your fiancee contact his congressman to inquire to the embassy what the delay in the visa release is. On my congressman's second call to the embassy, the visa was maybe due to much cooncidence released on the next day. Keep hounding them, don't give up!

Well the visas were finally released from the embassy!!!!!!!!! Delbros texted Jasmin 4pm on the 7th...she should have the visas in hand on friday (shes in Cebu). Its finally almost over...we are now trying to find flights for a decent price...its hard now because of peak season and holy week coming up. We are SOOOOOOO excited!!!!

Sky....loraine doesnt always answer...sometimes its "Sandy"...try to be patient (haha)...i called the embassy monday...they said no update still with consular...then on wed...the visa is released already!!

Sillygirl...please update to reflect we are off of AR!!!!!!....visa released march 7th...we'll let you know when visas are in hand.
