Disregard my last post, i didn't see your last post

Well Rosemarie is filing for the petition change tomorrow; they ( the NOS ) say they can do it in 3 weeks but I dont believe them. Soooooooooooooo

I get confused by that response they gave her, the only thing i can think of is like PW said they just change the BC on NSO paper but not in the system, which i think can be a problem.

if they go to manila where the records are input to the system wont that solve that problem, we'll know in 10 days (philipineen time) if what yove did is correct or not.

Best way to tell is just goto the local NSO and get a copy, only takes a day or two. That will be whats in the system. Anyways, with your connection i would guess it is right.

The problem I see here is getting the childs passport with the mispelling and mothers baptismal name , and then having to go back and redo all of this again. :( , because the child cant do medical at St Lukes without a passport. I will call the embassy today and see what they say . I still feel better going thru the first interview and taking my chances with an AR/ reschedule and getting it correct then; than to reschedule in the first place and something else bad happening.

(sorry for the repitition, I posted this in the "general area" and meant to post here in the Manila Thread)

Well, we've waited and waited but still no packet 4 for my wife. I went ahead this week and sent her a copy of the appointment letter that I received. I never got a complete packet, just the appointment letter, and my wife never got squat. :( Her medical is scheduled for April 20th and it's already April 7th. We know that she needs to bring the copy of the appnt. letter, 2x2photos, passport, and all vaccination and x-ray records. Is this all she needs to bring? I mean, based on other posts we feel confident that we know all the contents of the packet already, but someone said that the DS-156(k)(157) forms may be a little different and the bank may only accept the ones in the packet when stamping them. Have I waited to long to ask the Embassy to forward the packet? Will St. Lukes receive it in time?

Thanks for any responses.

Hey Spunky,

Check out this link http://www.passport.com.ph/requirements.asp (under "Reminders")

According to this Dept. of Foreign Affairs accredited passport agency, one may submit an "Affidavit of one and the same person" if there's a discrepancy in parents' first name (passport of parents vs. birth certificate of minor). Rosemarie might still be able to get a passport for her son using the Affidavit.

Note, however, that the affidavit covers only a discrepancy in "first name". Rosemarie may still have a problem with the surname.

Scott,

She also needs to bring the peso equivalent of $95 for medical fees

As for the visa fee, the bank have copies of the DS forms so you don't even have to worry about it. When I paid my visa fee, the bank did not accept the ones I carried with me, instead they used the forms that they had.

And no, you did not wait too long to call for the packet to be sent to St. Lukes. You can even arrange with the embassy to forward it the day before your fiancee's medical date. The embassy is just 4 blocks away from St. Luke's (walking distance) ;)

I'm sure it won't be a long wait in AR for you Nakashima. 3-4 weeks is the norm.

Good luck to Caillen and goldwing 777 tomorrow!
