hey jnlmn how are you able to keep your beard lol  if i even let a stubble grow out i get the sad pouty face and tons of grief ( i miss my goatee)

I simply refused to get rid of it. LOL Not that I don't love her, but I look like a dork without at least a mustache--I think so anyway--I get bad ingrowns when I shave it off, and I do live in MN where at least some form of facial hair is a good thing. I think she may even let me be stubborn in this.

Of course, the other night on the phone, she did hint that she liked me without it...

lol may i suggest mach3 razors i feel you may need them shortly.

Been reading happy posts lately. Congrats to everyone who are now preparing to leave our beloved Philippines to join their loved ones in the land of Upsize Me, good 'ol USA.

Hey fianceeinwaiting, tcav05, TooBig, Jeeleebee, feelinblue and purpledonkey, heard anything from the embassy yet? As for my AR, the embassy is waiting for me to submit the court decision regarding my 1st marriage. Well, it's the embassy's turn to wait for me to give them feedback. I'll let them wait for a while ~ it's payback time hehehe ;)

Updated to add packet receipt date of goldwing7777 and Malambing.

I have been looking at the cases here and see that most of the interviews end up with AR's. This is a bit worriesome for me. Why is this? Is there a thread that details the reasons for AR's so I can do what I can to prevent it?

Well, it's the embassy's turn to wait for me to give them feedback. I'll let them wait for a while ~ it's payback time hehehe

Hehe. Cool

I have been looking at the cases here and see that most of the interviews end up with AR's. This is a bit worriesome for me. Why is this? Is there a thread that details the reasons for AR's so I can do what I can to prevent it?

Possible reasons of AR: (I got this from somewhere)

1. Missing paperwork

2. Paperwork not filled out correctly

3. Age difference

4. Failure of petitioner to meet Poverty Guidelines/Income Requirements

5. Marital Status questions (divorce, or annulment, singleness)- petitioner

6. Marital Status questions (divorce, or annulment, singleness)- visa applicant

7. Suspicions that relationship is not legitimate or substantial

8. Suspicion that petitioner will abuse, abandon, or mistreat applicant

9. Suspicion that applicant is taking advantage of naïve petitioner (gold digger, green card hunter, etc.)

10. Issues regarding applicant's children

11. Questions regarding applicant's identity

12. Paperwork inconsistent (different names, dates of birth, etc.)

In details, these are the most common ground of AR: (Purely my opinion)

1. Late Registration of Birth Certificate (Applicant)

2. Wrong answers to tricky questions

3. Income doesn't meet income requirements

4. Consul not convinced if there's a true love relationship

That's all for now.

Blessings!

As my signature shows.... " I GOT OUR PASSPORTS COW & CFO Certificates & STICKERS TODAY!!!!!" woooohoooooo!!!!!!:dance::dance:

TIPS: To those who will attend Seminars

i went there 8am, got the 10:00AM schedules ... take MRT and go down CUbao station and go walkway or walk thru gateway mall and go thru MRT 2 cubao station, and prepare P12.00 peso coins for u to get cardpass from vending machine ur stop station is KATIPUNAN.

If ur there na in KATIPUNAN STATION, after u slided card back. walk thru ur left side escalator, when u get out of that area its the side of GOOD SHEPERD already beside of ST. BRIDGETTE SCHOOL, or if u missed the walkway thru it, the GOOD SHEPERD is just infront of PSBA Cubao, so u have to cross the street with pedestrian lane just infront.

Entering the guard, u will be asked to sign ur name in there list of attendees. then u will line up to get ID to enter, so u will surrender one of ur ID to exchange their ID pass.

ID pass has number assigned, u will be called for ur photocopies and passport originals.

Requirements:

1) photocopy of passport & visa w/ ORIGINALS

2) photocopy of Marriage Cert, Divorce, Annulment, Seperation of FIANCEE w/ ORIGINALS

SCHEDULES OF SEMINARS FOR USA ...... 10:00AM, 130PM & 330PM

U will given a form and proceed to Window 2 for picture taking and then asked to go to canteen to fill-up forms and pay the P250.00 fee @ the Window 3 and then 10:00AM start of film viewing. After film viewing , u will be going to counseling and after it, a quick interview and then wait for ur certificate. I finished 1130am to get my cert. Xerox the cert once u get it, tehy have xerox copier at the left side of the building.

then at the right side of the building they have a small office already of CFO - for passport certification & stickers already. ( u dont have to go to PACO MAnila in main office to undergo their processing).

GOOD TIPS ... PLS DOWNLOAD APPLICATION FORM OF CFO - WHEN U WANT TO AVAIL THE PASSPORT CERT W/ STICKERS.

SCHEDULES OF CFO - PASSPORT CERTIFICATES & STICKERS ATTACHED...... 10AM & 2PM starting time.

U insert on ur passport the application forms, photocopy of the COW Cert. , photocopy of passport, & photocopy of visa ( If u have a child, photocopy of passport & visa plus 1 2x2 ID) and staff will asked for it. and wait for ur name and will asked to get inside to asked about info's in the forms, and then released of ur passport with certificates attached in it and stickers and payment ( P250.00) of it. and will asked to signed in there log book.

ALWAYS CHECKED UR CORRECT SPELLING OF NAME ENCODED AND LOCATION OVERSEAS PRINTED IN CERTIFICATES AND ALSO SEAL OF CFO!!!!! or else u will come back.

I finished CFO in 6 hours......

GOODLUCK!!!!

Hello everyone,

My fiance went to BPI to pay for the application fee $100. The teller told him to go to internet Cafe and download the form...when he went to the cafe...they said the fee is 1,500 pesos to download DS form and the internet cafe is the one going to forward it to the Embassy......Is this sound OK? Is that how its done?

Thanks......

NO NO NO. Again, a big NO.

Look for another internet cafe and have the DS forms printed. I suggest "Netopia" or "Cyber Compass". I have a pc at home but when the pc gets crazy for some reason, I normally end up with those cafes. Affordable and safe.

Let your fiance pull out the links herself (Using the file-open; not on the web address space) and that's the time she should tell the owner she wants to print something.

Your fiancee herself will bring the DS forms to the USEmbassy on the day of her interview. NO ONE ELSE WILL FORWARD THE DS FORMS BESIDES HER.

I hope that helps.

Blessings,

Wendy

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...what branch of BPI is that??! Maybe your fiance should try paying at another acredited branch. It's the first time i've heard that an accredited bank has run out of forms...besides those forms are FREE. She should not be paying anything extra, just the $100.00 USD for the application.

If that's the only bank near her area, i suggest she tell them to use the forms that Embassy sent her in her packet...how much more official do they want it anyways...those forms were sent the the US Embassy. Ask them to validate those forms instead.

If they still insist that she dowload it from an internet cafe, it might be a good idea to have her or someone pay for her application in one of the accredited the banks in Manila.

Geeezzzzzzz...i'm sorry to hear she's encountered that situation...can't help but wonder if the bank has a cut with the internet cafe...geeezzz :(

Soulseeker is right. Maybe there's a conspiracy  . Or maybe not, it just happened that they ran out of DS157.

By the way, here in Marikina, one page printing costs 5pesos for black and white and 8pesos for colored.

Caileen, where is your fiancee located? You can pm me if you want. I can help her find an "accredited" BPI and Citibank branches in her location.

Don't worry, things will be fine

Blessings,

Wendy

My fiance Gallen is from Bamban tarlac..he went to BPI Angeles is Pampanga. Actually they did not forward the forms. They fill it out for him. The form that they gave him has a serial #. He still have all the DS form. He already paid the 1500 pesos...so kind a too late. My question now is..does the form he got from the bank that has serial # is correct or should he still use the form that came in the packet?

Thanks so much....

Caillen.

Blessings,

Wendy

Caillen, I used the form the Bank gave us with the authorization from the bank teller on it. I believe u need 2 copies of all the DS-forms for the interview except the ds-156k u only need one copy, so he should use the DS-157 the bank gave him, and one DS 157 the embassy sent him.
