Manila Embassy Interview

Hi PW,

thank so much for the help ... that was a very nice advise to get and im deciding to attend the seminar when i get my passport back with visa in it.

another question pls.....

AS you could read on my signature which is my timeline, We didnt received any RFE's on our I-129F forms means we never lacked info's and docs submitted, if and when a "typo error" occurred. do u find it so odd?????

The curiosity striked me is dat ... got the appointment letter from st. lukes and saw my son name wrong spelling. Which i simply thought they mistype it for some reason, but ive received my packet (2nd copy) from delbros delivery and got still the name of my son wrong spelling on our appointment letter. hmmm  actually i proofread all xerox docs my fiance submitted to NVC it was printed clearly, and the G235 i filled up with my penmanship is so clear to read wats the diffrence between LLOYD to LLOVD & JULIAN to JUIAN ... geeeezzzz hehehehe

Isn't it , if we commit typo in encoding forms or filling up by penmanship the forms, we should have noted from RFE from NVC at first. So i just mentioned its embassy discrepancy and not ours.... but with your advise, i will do try to get "affidavit of discrepancy on local city office" for me and my fiance signed on it. thanks!! If they asked ill pulled it out to submit upfront.

thanks thanks alot for being there for first timers...

God Bless!

I'll post this question again:

One question. I know this may sound a non-sense question but I'll give it a try. Is ALIAS different from a NICK NAME? I do use my nick name a lot.. but not on offical and legal documents of course. My nick name is shown on our wedding invitations, wedding expense receipts, package covers, snail mails, e-mails etc. Comments from anyone?

Hey ckoahou and Greg2005! God bless for your tomorrow's interview. Looking forward to hear good news

Guys, today is our first year anniversary  Here's our wedding pictures, if you have time to visit: Our Album

More love!!!

If Helen wont mind, would be gladly to meet & befriend with on that day. Anyway im attending the interview with my fiance and my son, called the embassy if i could not bring my 4yrs old son but been advised that every person included in petition should be present at the interview.

Hope to get acquianted with helen - she cud text me #09173270036, enjoying being together at the same day on that much awaited interview day, as for all of us doing so, wanting to get approvals only a way to be with our love ones already.

R&W, this is what I do when answering a document that asked if I had an ALIAS. Answer: Cora (nickname)

I am of the opinion, however, that the ALIAS question is more appropriate to people like movie stars who have screen names or ALIASes.

Rebel, your handwriting must have been misread and then the wrong info was fed into the computer. Once the error is in the system, it can go on and on until you (the affected person) notices it. That is why some people here have suggested that forms should be typewritten as handwriting can be difficult to decipher sometimes.

What you can do is to send a fax to the embassy respectfully pointing out the error and keep a copy of this fax so you can present it during the interview if the question arises. At least you can tell them you tried to communicate the error to them. You may also present a notarized affidavit of discrepancy just in case.

The PM button is in the lower left side of the screen after the signature line of the person you want to PM.

PW,

So very thankful you've been a very big help with fellow Vjers. I did seek legal advice and showed them all documents in my hands since from the start of application. And ur right maybe they misread my penmanship, anyway did call the embassy, they cant do it at once, they just advised me to point it out as soon as i submit my DS forms with the appointment letters shows discrepancy of typo errors & no need to fax, we could correct it directly from interview as they reviewing all our documents in time of interview (but gladly the lawyer says , should be at peace bcos theres no errors from me & my fiance).

By the way... Ryan reads all your post replies to me, saying his gratitude to you  , he wished you sooner approval from ur AR processing.

God bless!

Its me again...thank u so much for your info. U guys knows so much. I have another question...for the tax form. Did u guys use tax transcript or juz the copy u have at home. I have copies of all my tax return...can I use that of I have to order from IRS? Thanks again...

Caillen

Caillen,

When I had my interview at the embassy, I presented the 3-year tax transcripts of my fiance. However, I was still asked to submit a copy of his ITR and W-2, which thankfully I pestered my fiance to send to me too. If I did not present his ITR and W-2, that would probably cause another AR for me. That's why it is important to send everything that you have to your fiancees here in the Phil.

You're welcome, Rebel. We're all here to help each other.

Woohoo, just received PM from Greg 2005, his fiancee is APPROVED!!! A BIG CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

At last, two BIG APPROVALS!!! We really needed that after receiving so many ARs. Good luck to Soulseeker and Andrewkonen on their interview tomorrow.

Wendy, I'm not sure if unsigned 1040s are acceptable to the embassy. Maybe it would be a good idea to get last 3-year's transcript from IRS. At least you have something to back up the unsigned 1040s. Can you get your hubby to fax you a signed 1040? The embassy is strict regarding proof of finances: ITR, W-2, employment letter, pay stubs, etc.

Updated to reflect APPROVAL of Greg2005 and ckoahou.

Question again: The 1040's I have with me don't have signatures. They are actually backup copies. Do my husband really need to get a copy from IRS?

Thank You very much. I am very proud of my honey getting through the interview. I will continue to pray for us all that we will get through the whole process and be with our fiancees and get married ASAP. Amen

I use the program Taxcut so I print out the forms and sign it again with the date I used before. Now that I think about it, maybe there should only be one signed copy in ink and the copies would be copies of the original.

If I was you I would sign a backup copy and copy it, and use the original w-2 (the personal records copy) .

Have two copies of your most recent tax return with w-2's. Of course one w-2 would be a copy, one original.

I had 4 years of tax returns available for the interview. At first I had 3 then I just did the 2005 return.

I dont think they need original signatures, or IRS transcripts, but a copy of a "signed" tax return would be good. The signature says that under the penalty of perjury all is correct to the best of your knowledge. I think it's important to have your tax return copies have signatures on them (ink or copy) even if you sign em now. Just my 2 cents.
