hi ron may, call the nvc every two days, theyll probably have an answer for you by then. once your packet is sent out to the embassy in manila (information that NVC can provide you) call the 528 6300... it;s much better than talking to someone in the 1-909 at least in my experience as well as uling's (i think).

Call the Embassy, that line is useless. Cost too much money.

http://philippines.usembassy.gov/wwwhni14.html

hi thanks for the reply. clarifications though, im from phil, what numbers exactly?

i called +1 202 6631541 (washinton base) last night and they replied the case is still pending

i called 19091017878 (using Smart sim) im not sure if tot...tot... tot... means busy or none existent. lol

last option (011-632) 528-6300 ext. 5184 or 5185 is that number applicable in phil?

i did email them just now. not sure when will i have their replies

thanks again!

Not suppose to use the number in the philippines but i don't think they know you are in the Philippines anyways. It's stupid for them to charge 18 bucks and 1 dollar plus a minute......for anyone.

Email is pointless, they will reply in like 4 months.

glad to be of help. btw, if i were you id try giving them a call on monday and make sure that you call first thing in the morning. the immigrant visa unit that handles this opens at 730 Am so just make sure you call around that time and have them on speed dial....

i agree with windchaser... especially if they will probably not be able to answer most of your questions.... hehehe

Actually no! That lady at the Manila Embassy just didn't like you for some reason. LOL! I had great success in speaking with the Manila Embassy. It's probably because I'm a man and a USC, or maybe it's just my charm. LOL! Negoys rule!!! LOL! PW will get this joke!!!

Hi YnaYeBa0808. :)

I noticed we have the same schedule for the medical check and the interview. See you!

QUESTION: Has anyone here who are both applying for IR and K3 with NVC case assigned numbers for both IR and K3 tried requesting the USE to adjudicate the IR petition during the K3 interview? Or would the K3 and IR be processed in separate offices within the Immigrant Visa Unit at the USE?

I know the IR and K3 are two separate routes to allow the beneficiary entry to the US. What I was hoping to do was bring the needed documents for the IR interview (DS-230, copies of I-184 (notarized), W2s, 1099, etc., vaccination supplement form) on the day of my K3 interview schedule and the REQUEST if I can POSSIBLY have the IR petition adjudicated on that day.

Or do you think they will schedule me on a separate date for the IR? As per NVC voice recording, the AOS bill payment has been received and the IV bill has been sent out to the petitioner on Oct 9. This means, my husband and I just need to submit the I-184, DS-230 and other pertinent docs. (hopefully, NVC will not request for RFE).

Given the time frame, I estimated that the case will be completed within the week of my K3 interview schedule. That's why I was wondering I can just bring the docs with me. Or does USE in Manila require that the docs be coming from NVC?

Thanks a lot for all your thoughts...

That is very optimistic considering the embassy must have just got it. The wait time is on average 110 days from the time the embassy gets your petition. If the interview is successful then the visa will get to your fiance 3-7 days later.

Oh, please fill in your timeline. You don't have your NOA2 or the NVC dates on there yet.

I've been reading all of the posts here over several days. Really long list with tremendous participation from many very knowledgeable folks. I am also doing CR-1 and K-3, but the CR-1 is well on it's way for us and I'm not even sure pursuing the K-3 is of any benefit, but I'll see how it goes. I had the same thought as you if the K-3 happens to arrive at USE Manila before the CR-1 case is completed at NVC. I'm am also wondering what would happen if the CR-1 (I-130) would arrive at Manila after the K-3 (I-129F) is there and the K-3 interview has been scheduled. I'm told the CR-1 would override the K-3 but would the interview date be same as the original K-3 or would it be delayed?

There are just a handful of CR-1 listed on the timeline. Whoever is handling the additions you can add us if you'd like. We have NOA2 of 9/7/2006 and case no 2006765XXX. You can call us M&M. We have no NOA2 on the K-3 yet.

Good luck to all!!!

hello everyone. it seems that there's no PLDT in my bukid so i bought a SMART sim. i dont think it's a smart idea though since i couldnt use it to call them??? am i missing something here? i thought buying a smart sim would solve the problem. everytime i call, all i'm hearing is tot tot tot... anyhow any suggestions? i did call the washington and it says our case is still pending. would have wanted more specific answer like whether if the embassy got our case or not etc :( ... thanks!!!

I'm guessing you got the prepaid one, right? It won't work. I tried that and even the postpaid line for Smart it still didn't work. I think only PLDT with IDD calls can be used to call the 1-900 number. They sure know how to make it difficult to contact them!

Your list is getting long again PW, hope you are having fun with it. :P:thumbs:

Yup, having a party here. I'm glad you're posting again, Wind.

It's probably because I'm a man and a USC, or maybe it's just my charm. LOL! Negoys rule!!! LOL! PW will get this joke!!!

YOU ARE THE MAN.... Uling rules!!! :P

The CR-1 would override the K3 if both physical files are in Manila at interview time. Since the physical file of your wife's CR-1 is in Manila already, she can appear for the K3 interview and tell the consul that she would like to be interviewed for CR-1. The embassy allows that. If you have paid the $380 visa fee for CR-1 at NVC make sure she has proof of this payment otherwise she would be asked to pay again at the embassy.

In cases where K3 interview has been scheduled and the CR-1 physical file has not reached the embassy yet, one can choose to interview for K3 and not wait for CR-1 or she can abandon K3 and wait for CR-1 interview to be scheduled. Majority of people do not wish to wait anymore and just go for K3.

Updating timeline of sillygirl (to add visa pick up date), kirkandjenny (to add case number) and to welcome M&M to our thread (what a yummy name :P ).

Gary - Glad to see you back!!!

Yna - Goodluck to you and Ethan.

Uling- Goodluck to you & Wilma, are you going to the Philippines for Wilma's interview???

PW - Really glad to see the face behind the most hardworking member of the Manila Embassy interview thread.

I was so busy & depressed lately that I haven't had the chance to wish everybody goodluck on their interviews and congratulate those who passed. And for the November folks, I know you guys gonna have a party, but don't count me in coz my fiance & I broke off the engagement two weeks ago. It's a long story & it's really "petty" but that's part of life that I just have to accept I guess.

Thank you folks & I wish everyone the best.

Karina
