Thanks! when i checked on the appointment link yesterday i couldnt believe it i thought i typed the wrong case number so i did it again and it really is true, it took me quite a long time before it sinked in my mind but i am really happy. my next question is what are the good hotels near ST. lukes? after the interview how many days will you be able to receive your visa?

I have some questions to make sure my fiancée and I understand all this stuff.

I have the letter that says "The State Department's National Visa Center has recently received an approved I-129F petition filed on behalf of your fiancée......"

She is still waiting for the packet and all that on her end. She already has the documents completed that she is going to need and her police records and such. Once she receives the packet in the mail does she call to schedule the medical exam or will it have a date already assigned? Does she have to wait for the packet to actually get there to schedule it or since the Case number is on the paper I have can she go ahead and schedule it? I would think she would wait to do the exam in Manila around the time of her interview so she doesn't have to travel twice. I guess my question is at this point do we just wait to hear what date they give for the interview and then schedule the exam a few days prior or do we need to initiate things to let them know she is ready for the interview and then they will issue a date?

Thanks

Reunited for good and it feels so good!

Im in the same Boat as you with the same questions. I have heard that the Embassy wants the Medical exam done no more than 30 days before the interview date. I too would like my Fiancee to not have to make 2 trips to Manila & do both the Medical & The interview one after another...

in most normal cases unless there is reason to expedite the case, the manila embassy sends out a packet of instruction (packet4) as well as forms to be filled out by the beneficiary, and included in this packet are dates which includes both the medical and interview dates. in our case, the 2 day medical is gonig to be held a week prior to my fiance's visa interview.

some people (as of late) get packet three which pretty much just informs them that the US embassy in manila has received the physical files from NVC. afterwhich i believe they will be receiving packet four.

check out ulings signature, there is a link there to which you can enter your case number and should the system recognize it, then the interview date as well as the medical date will appear.

hope this helps :)

Its to my understanding that once you have your manila case number you can go at any time to do your medical .

There is no appointment neccesary and its first come first serve.

I believe you only need to have the letter from the nvc with your case number.

The believe the medical can be done any time onece you get your manila number and ts valid for 1 year.

If anyone knows otherwise please correct me but i read that in asawa.org

I know this doesn't help much, but I know exactly what you are going through and it was by far the toughest part of the whole process for me. Thinking that you are through it all and then not getting the visa is just very hard to take. I got the same non-answers and there appears to be very little one can do. There seems to be no consistency or fairness in this process sometimes.

I hope that yours is there soon and you can put this behind you. You certainly deserve it. Hang in there. I know everyone here is pulling for you.
