long wait...K3 at Mumbai consulate but not recieved

Hello

my husband is an USC who filed an I130 for me in March 2008 VSC...also filed the 129f in June....both the applications were approved in Dec 08...i think it has taken forever for me to get through this phase of waiting...it has become really stressful for me and i cant think of doing anything but thinking about this only...

i have many questions and confusions and would appreciate it a lot if anyone could help

1) my K3 papers had reached Mumbai and when an inquiry made they told me it has already been sent to me and i have not yet responded them...in fact the packet has not yet recieved by me...but this was on 17th feb that the consulate responded and it generally doesnt take long for some post to come to Gujarat from Mumbai...

should i down load all the forms needed to be sent back to the consulate from the consulate website? is every packet customised? the problem becomes bigger when the police stations in Gujarat ask for the packet and documents inside for issuing of PCC...thinking of going to Mumbai and getting the packet myself but would like to have an advice on it...

2) what forms and documents to be included in packet 3?

i really need help because i am all messed up and depressed because of the delays...

I would also just send another email to the consulate and explain that you did not receive the packet, and can they please email you a list of whats required there.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Many people have reported that their SO has not received the packet 3 from the mumbai consulate. I filed the I-129F for my wife (since then have abondoned that route), however the mumbai consulate supposedly sent out the packet 3 about a week ago, and my wife still has not received it.

I suggest you download it from their site and submit the paperwork. You can also call the department of state to check if the mumbai consulate has indeed mailed out the packet 3. Call 202 663 1225. Press Option 1 then Option 0 to speak to a visa specialist, you will need your I-129F case number.
