I believe that I have read that NVC can send a case back to USCIS if there is a problem with a name check or something. I will defer to VJers with longer tenure than mine, but I seem to remember reading about a case that was returned because of a name problem or incomplete file. I agree that it is rare though.

that's why we hired a lawyer to avoid such little problems as mistakes in filling. We didn't talk to our lawyer yet and we wait what he will tell us WHY?

And Brad, you told before that someday Vika and you will go to Turkey :) It's a good idea  last summer we have planned it too but because of our little son we delayed it.. About western part of Ukraine, well, the best visiting time is winter because there is a wonderful place for skiing or in summer just make a tour of ancient cities. But I prefer the first

Cool. We went to Lviv in June, and had a week scheduled in Uzlissya resort. Vika got sick and we just stayed in Lviv. A great trip. We really wanted to visit Antalya in January too, but with Vika leaving for the US and all, her family needed the time.

I understand you.. we will go to my native town too, to visit my relatives before going to the US. But I think after marriage you can spend time on wonderful Miami beach ;) I am sure Vika will be happy to spend time there. About Antaliya, it's a good idea too, but since you have lived in the USA it will be easier to travel around USA than come back to Europe again. And Vika needs to get Advance Parol for traveling outside of the USA.

Antalya will be post-green card travel for sure. It is mostly me wanting to go there. I also want to see Istanbul, just to say I did it. Vika grew up next door, so Turkey just doesn't get her as excited.

what about Egypt? Dubai? Thailand?

Thailand is on the list, Dubai not so much (all we know is that it is HOT there :P ). Egypt is fascinating, but not really safe.

Good point. Sometimes I forget that Americans are not the only ones that get targeted by extremists.
