Not one has received any contact yet.

I think you shouldn´t worry too much about where your application is. It´s probably with all the recalled ones. But I´d say you should contact NVC by email and ask.

I think the worst case senario for us would be ifthey had made a mistake with one particular case.

While none of us have received a RFE, it means they are still about to do something about us.

I just wonder why people with no NOA2 are will be getting RFEs before we do...

Anyways, we are together and on the same place. None of us got a RFE or an update yet.

I think we should keep calling people and getting help.

You are so right, just keep on it and keep sharing info and staying positive. For people that are interested in emailing NVC and/or their consulate to get some peace of mind about their petition, there are some templates below. I had a pretty quick response from my consulate and the NVC took a couple of days.

Suggested NVC email template to ask about where petition is:

NVC email: NVCInquiry@state.gov

To whom it may concern:

My name is xxx and my fiancée’s name is xxxx. My fiancée received a call from the xxxx embassy last week informing her that our approved I-129F petition was being sent back for further review to the USCIS through the NVC. Our receipt number is xxxxxx. I realize that this may be part of a new process in dealing with the new IMBRA law.

Does the NVC have my petition at this point?

On which date was the petition sent to the USCIS from the NVC?

I ask these questions because I have received no clear answers from the

customer service number offered by the USCIS.

Sincerely,

Suggested email template to consulate:

To whom it may concern:

case id#

receipt#

My name is xxx and my fiancée’s name is xxx. I received a notice from the xxx consulate on May 4th informing us that our approved case was ready to be further processed. On (date) someone at the consulate called my fiancée and said our case was being sent back to the USCIS. I realize all K1 cases after March 6th have been sent back at this point due to IMBRA. I fall into the category of the applicant that will receive an "immediate" RFE. My questions are specific to the consulate:

Why was I not informed by letter, email or phone by anyone at the consulate that my case was being sent back?

Will my case still be expedited at the consulate due to my petition already being approved on xxxx, 2006?

I look forward to a clear and concise response.

Thank you,

I just spoke with NVC............After getting over the shock that operators are still available at 11pm on a Friday night, I was told that my case was forwarded on to the VSC on June 9. At least, I have some comfort now that my case hasn't been lost in the mail.

I know this doesn't really provide any new information, but I saw that milestogo was also processing their case through Russia and wanted to at least pass this information on. I would assume that if my case managed to make it back okay, certainly yours did as well............and very possibly was sent at the same time as mine.

Who knows? Perhaps all of our NOA-2 cases were sitting at the NVC until the new process was established. And since we now know that they received approval for everything around the 9th, perhaps that's when they forwarded them all back to Vermont.

Thanks for the update Jello. What number do you have for the NVC?

Not really, since my case was fwd from NVC to USCIS on May 21st...

Who knows what´s going on there. Maybe they are waiting to get all the recalled to start sending the RFEs together? I don´t know.. it could be anything.

NVC's number is 603-334-0700 and operators are available until midnight eastern time. All you need is your receipt number and they ask for the beneficiary's name and birthdate. I was only on hold for about 3 minutes.

Good Luck!

Guys,

I only joined VJ and asigned an account at USCIS website after this whole mess with IMBRA.

So I don´t know how many times my case was touched.

I was thinking, though. Maybe there´s a chence they sent our RFEs without updating our status online.

What do you think?

You will be able to see when you were last touched. We haven't been touched since 05/01/06.

Our NOA2 is dated April 12th. Yesterday I spoke with someone at the VSC and he said that there'd been action on our case at all - no RFE made on it, nothing - could only confirm that they had our application and that he didn't know what was going to happen to applications that had been approved.

Then, last night I checked on the USCIS website and (for the first time since 4/12) it had been updated and it said that a RFE went out on June 12th. So...VSC says one thing and USCIS says another...you know who I'm hoping is the right one!

REALLY????

So you are the first approved case with a FRE on your way!

Just plz tell me one thing.

When I check my status online it says "this case has been approved..."

Your said the same until yesterday and now it doesn´t anymore?

It says a RFE has been sent but no longer aproved, is that correct?

That would be a good sign I think.

:)

Please answer me when you have a chance!

thanks for the number

My problem is, my fiance calls the embassy and they claim it's there still. But they answer too fast to have actually gone to check if it's there physically. So I will call the NVC on Monday to find out if they have it.

NOA1 -- Mar 20th

NOA2--April 13th

no touches, no word on where my application is, nothing.

smgx4000,

Could you tell us if you had an interview scheduled which was cancelled? Or perhaps you could update or tell us your timeline. I suspect your case differsfrom the rest of us somehow who have all received NOA2s and had scheduled interviews cancelled. If that's not the case perhapas your experience is good news for the rest of us.
