hi,

does it matter if i have assets or not ?

i have had my job for two plus years

but don't have any "saved" and don't own anything.....

could this cause a denial ?

my income is well over the poverty guidlines.

If you earn over the poverty guidelines then you do not need to show assets.

Do you have 3years of tax transcripts to show? They are more interested in the last years for a K1 but they do ask to see 3years worth.

We did not list any assets. It was my understanding that listing assets was optional if income exceeded poverty guidelines.

You do not need to mention assets if your income is over the guidelines. Leave the asset information blank or write "na".

You will not need to show more than one years tax returns and w-2s for Canada. Some high fraud country consulates require more.
