Speaking of Cats. Did any of you catch the show "Christian the Lion" on Animal Planet? It was about these two guys who raised a lion in their London Apartment.

I didn't see the show, but I've always been more fascinated with Lions than regular cats. Were the guys doing this legally? Are London Apartments that big?

Hi Wakey! I've heard about that story and seen some of the footage but not the whole show. Was it the one where they ended up releasing him to the savannah and then coming back like a year later to see him?

Hi Kimmy! How are you?

YES that's the story. It was really good. On one part the housekeeper was sharing how she'd come by and he would stand up to hug her (the cutest with his big self). Well, one day she was standing at the top of some stairs and he stood on the bottom and lost his balance. His claws ripped her dress clean off!!! That's when they FINALLY realized he needed to be set free.

They made arrangements with the apartment manager to let the lion be in the bottom where there was plenty of space to poop and play.

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

My man is pretty good. He gets a little discouraged at times (like I do) when obstacles keep coming up though. He was going to drive to Kingston yesterday to pick up his police certificate but the timing belt on the car went so they spent yesterday fixing it instead. Now he had to be back at work today so he won't be able to get there till next week some time. It's ridiculous, his work suspended him for taking some tourists to a web cast at another location per their (tourists) request but he didn't bring them to the night time web cast at his work. Since he didn't bring that business their way they suspended him. And now when some other guests ask for him to be their guide, they call him back! Then they expect him to jump even at the slave wages they pay him.....oops, sorry, tangent! But other than that, he's good....just waiting on this process like I am.

It's true that winter gets to people.....I say it all the time but I don't know how people can live in the parts of the country where it is winter for so long! I also believe in that seasonal affective disorder (SAD) and enough people must suffer from that in those regions. I hope spring comes your way soon!

I have seen parts of that story of Christian - when they went to reunite with him, he brought his mate to meet them, so cute!

Did you see the story of the woman who raised a lion cub then gave it to a zoo in the UK - she went back years later, and the lion jumped up and hugged her through the bars, purring and rubbing his head on hers -

Yeah, I remember seeing that clip too about Christian....that would have been a pretty uncertain moment when he comes running to them.....if it were me, I'd be praying that it was a friendly run and not coming to attack me! LOL

I think I did see that clip of the woman reuniting....it was sweet! Pretty amazing the connections these animals can make....

Insurance takes care of most of it. A basic appointment would cost me about $5 out of pocket.

That's a pretty fancy plan Nat! I guess if the co-pay was that cheap, I'd be pretty excited too! The free yearly whitening is great!

Congrats Jake's! I want twins! One of each, done in one shot! LOL! Anyway, that is so amazing and I hope you get over the 'morning sickness' soon!
