We have been reading the lingche shortcut guide to NVC and we have some question:

Tax Transcripts, optional but may help. Call the IRS to get it FREE! 1 (800) 829-1040

- W-2s and/or 1099s

- 1040 from most recent tax year

- Pay stubs for current year (6 months should do)

- Employment letter showing your income and position.

- Co-Sponsor in same HouseHold: I-864A and all Tax information as above

- Co-Sponser NOT in same HouseHold: I-864 and all Tax information as above

- The petitioner must ALWAYS submit an I-864....even if there's zero income.

Are all the above mandatory?

If yes, we cannot provide

- Pay stubs for current year (6 months should do)

- Employment letter showing your income and position.

- Co-Sponsor in same HouseHold: I-864A and all Tax information as above

- Co-Sponser NOT in same HouseHold: I-864 and all Tax information as above.

She doesn't work anymore, that's the reason because we do not have the requested documentation.

What can we do?

For primary sponsor past year's IRS return is a requirement. Per I-864 additional years returns, employer letter and pay stubs and other financial evidence is optional.

Joint sponsor or household member needs to provide at lest past year's return.

Moving this to NVC forum
