hi

My fiancee and I are in the process of filling out the I-134 form. she(US citizen) is a currently a student so her father is going to be the co sponsor, my questons are:

1) what does she write for question 7 about employment - should she write "student" and give the address of the college?

2) for question 11 what should she write? on the example form it says "N/A ( K1 visa process for permanent residence )" I just wanted to make sure she should write that? (sorry if im being silly)

3) what will her father have to include with his form as prove of income?

thank you very much, have a good week everyone!!

1. Yes, she can do this, or write "unemployed"

2. I wrote exactly what it said in every example given, I used sample ltters exactly as presented on this site (changed names of course) and never had a problem.

3. If he is employed by a company, he should give a letter from that company, last years tax return with w-2 and some check stubs, maybe 2 months. If he is self employed, last years tax returns and a bank letter.

My answer to 3. would be for him to follow the instructions that come with the I-134 and later for AOS, the instructions that come with the I-864. Simply provide supporting documentation as instructed. The exception is that if "income" is more than sufficient, he may simply leave blank any asset related questions and there's no need to document any assets when none are declared.
