If I understand correctly, you have a case complete at the NVC and are waiting for an interview at the embassy. Call the NVC monday-friday 8am-12am at 603-334-0700 with your NVC case number and ask if you got an interview. They just scheduled March interviews last week so you may have one.

If the Embassy is saying your case is at their electronic file, then your fiancee should call the USEM number to get the interview date. I believe for K-1 that you are the one to schedule the interview with the embassy. Any one correct me if i am wrong in this.

you can go to the USEM website and they have instructions about the process for the K-1 once it leaves NVC.

I would say if the embassy says they have your case then it is probably fine, both NVC and the service centers, have been known to not send out letters by mistake from time to time.

Sometimes, it takes time to receive NVC letter. Maybe, you can wait for 1-2 weeks for the letter. As I observe here the quickness to receive NVC letter depends on the place where petitioner lives. But if they give you already the manila case number, usually starts at MNL______, you can verify the US embassy here in Manila if they got your case, then you can do the medical and scheduling of your interview.

Do not fear we are just ahead of you. With NVC you do not need the letter. All you really wanted is the case number. In your case the embassy has the electronic file. We had the same thing. About a week after they were sent the file from NVC (NVC can tell you that if you call them and it is usually the day after the send the case to the embassy) the file arrives in Manila. This is the paperfile. It then takes them about 4 days to enter it into their system. Then you can arrange for an interview. When you get the interview they will ask for an email. As they are setting up the interview they email the interview confirmation to that email you just gave them. Take that letter and you can get your medical along with all the other requeired docs for the medical (passport, photos, etc).

Best of luck. Trisha goes back to St. Lukes on Monday for day 2 and hopefully an approval.

Love forever,

Dale & Trisha
