What's a I-485 form?

worry about it this early in the game?

We're filing for a cr-1 visa and I read something about an I-485 (register permanent residence or adjust status)...

I was just going to go about the regular cr-1 route and wondered did they change something?

Actually, upon further inspection, I realize it's a form that goes along with the 1-130 when both spouses live in the US.

You won't be needing that form for an IR1. The I485 is applicable, as you said, to an illegal or legal visaholder that marries a USC while in the US, a K1 fiance visaholder who enters the US and gets married, and a K3 married visaholder who chooses to skip the NVC BS and wait until entry to adjust status.
