Ok my friends...security alert, this just may save you some grief.

If you use yahoo...and you let all the world know your birthdate...and someone knows your zip code...thats all they need to take your account and lock you out of it!

I just now went to my account info page and now I can see why I couldn't change the password. The person that took it, changed my zip code to something different and changed my country to ........drumroll please... Algeria

Soooo. if you use yahoo, change the zip and country to something totally different, cuz as soon as your birthdate rolls around ..BAM anyone on the net can take your account.

My account was taken 2 weeks ago after I announced to the world on the internet that it was my birthday. Tho it is way cool to have threads for mah birthday..that info is now going very private.

Last week, I heard on the news about a scam--where people use your identity to contact your friends for money. Like they say, 'I need you to send me money right away'.... and you think its that person and its not!

so the moral to my security fiasco..........if any of you are contacted by somone posing to be me and asks for money or anything...ITS NOT ME! lol. I just feel bad that everyone that was on my yahoo messenger is now vulnerable to be contacted by my account thief.

nothing says it has to be your actual birthday, it can be a date of special significance too. also a good idea - never have the zip code you live in, i use one i used to live in decades ago.

So he says he had no more credit to talk to me. He found out the buses were coming at 2 am so he packed in the dark and they came at 4:30 am and went on the way to Cario from there. He got there in the morning. Then he got settled, ran some errands, and came to check me not to find me leaving me messages I wasn't getting?

He's telling me all these msgs he sent and I think it might be my new Yahoo 9.0 and Symantec anti-virus that is messing things up because I didn't get any of these msgs he's saying he sent. I've only had problems since I uploaded the new yahoo and anti-virus.
