Argentine and US couple HELP!!!

My boyfriend is Argentine and I am from the US. I will be going back to Argentina in March to

try and start papers for my boyfriend to come here so we can get married. We have heard so many different things. We don't know what to do. I hope someone on here has been through the same thing as we are going through now and can give us some good information on what to do to speed things up so we don't make costly mistakes. Some have said go ahead and do the K 1 fiance visa but then others say no, get married in Argentina and apply for a K 3 which they say will take 8 - 10 months and then he will be able to move here with me. But still others say get a tourist visa and just get married here when he comes but others say this is fraud and will cause even more problems. HELP Can ANYONE out there tell me what is the best and fastest way to accomplish this???

Is it the right thing to do? no, it's actually against the law to use a visitor visa with an immigrant intent. Don't risk it! do things the right way, it pays off

K1 or K3. Those are the 100% legal options in your case. You have immigrant intent so using a tourist visa is not the appropriate or legal path for you. Decide if you want to marry here (US) or there and which is fastest right now and then send in the paperwork as soon as you can get it filled out.

CR1 is a legal option as well, and generally preferrable to K3 for the last couple years.

From what I've seen, using a tourist visa isn't really a good idea. It works a lot, but from what I gather, unless you can really prove that the other person didn't come here just to marry you, they'll reject you. If rejected, I doubt that makes it any easier to get a K1 or K3.
