I'm new to this board but I been following this forum for quite sometime now.

I received an email last night from USCIS that they ordered production of your new card for me. The weird thing is I requested assistance from my senator yesterday morning (I sent the request by fax) and got the approval the same day. I have not been informed by the senator's office that they started working on my case but I have a feeling that they did contact VSC the same day. Please find my timeline below.

Sent I-751 to VSC - March 3, 2008

NOA Date - March 11, 2008 (duplicate, I did not received original)

Biometrics Done - April 18, 2008

Touched: April 23, 2008

Approved: February 11, 2009

Thanks Visajourney!

Hi Melgre62,

:star: Congratulations, Melgre62 on getting your 10yr green card! :star:

After such a long 11 months wait, you deserve it! It's good to know that the VSC is doing something, even if it takes a long time. Too bad though, you couldn't get a refund for the I-751, as you only have the 10yr card for a short time now.

Oh well, onto the next stage of citizenship for you, Melgre62!

Good luck too on your Citizenship application and the rest of your immigration journey!

Ant (Still waiting at the VSC, Still waiting for Baby...)

P.S. I think by you contacting your Senator's office that they did indeed contact the VSC on the same day to get your case approved. I guess that just goes to show how getting a Senator involved in cases certainly does help!
