Okay so we have most of our stuff together for after he receives package 3, but there is a problem! Our first lawyer was an idiot and we said we don't need you anymore, well when we did he handed us a package and we thought (being stupid) when he told us the I-129F was in there it was. So we haven't looked at it since..........well guess what? It isn't there and that lawyer is no where to be found.......so what do we do if need the original I-129F that was sent in with the first package? Thanks! I want to pull my hair out!

It would be nice to have a copy of course. But I don't see how it would hold anything up. As far as I know the big deal is to have the NOA2 for Adjustment of Status.

Not a huge problem because it's not needed. It's nice to refer to so your fiance can review anything you've submitted in case they ask him questions...like how you met...or any statement you already submitted. Your parent's names or where you've lived maybe. Just email him anything you think it might be useful for him to review that he might not remember about you.

Guidelines are guides. If you do what they say exactly hopefully you have a perfect journey. If you can't do it you can't. Can you remember what you wrote and just note it in a blank form ? It is a suggestion so you can answer questions.

I'm not sure about South Africa, but in Thailand the don't ask for NOA1 or NOA2 at the interview. Only thing I have seen here is that they ask for NO2 for the Adjustment of Status. My advice would be to download the packet 3 from the U.S. embassy website in your country. My bet is that they would not ask for NOA1 or NOA2.

You DONT have to have it. The more complete the package your SO has the less apt you are to run into trouble when the interview happens. Sometimes even the complete package doesn't save you when you hit a psycho like Joseph had that sent the package back because he couldn't tell her details of my classified work. But hopefully I am the exception not the norm.

Problems...You got a lawyer. Problem, you got another lawyer??????????? (I presume since you refer to one as your "first" lawyer) and you do not open the package when he gives it to you???????? Never trust an immigration attorney, it is absolutely necessary they lie and mislead to stay in business, they CANNOT be honest and make a buck at this.

You can get a copy of YOUR Noa2 from USCIS, it is YOURS after all. You will need it for the interview and AOS.

Now, get rid of the second lawyer, get as much of your money bask as possible (good luck with that) and do this yourself with help from the guides and members here. You will get better answers, faster responses and it is FREE. You can download any forms you need (most right from this site) and you have or can get everything else. There is absolutely nothing an attorney can do for you that you cannot do better, faster and cheaper. Attorneys who do this kind of work are several notches below ambulance chasers as they KNOW there is absolutely nothing they can do for you except empty your wallet and delay your case. They are, in fact, scavengers. Preying on people who are in love and have enough expenses already with visa fees and travel costs. They fall well below the level of "predator". This, of course, since I wrote it, is only my opinion and you should make your own decisions about attorneys...oh, you already did. :)

Yeah maybe but it won't be exact. I mean it is a requirement is it not?

Depends on the embassy. Download packet 3 from the website of the consulate you will use. The instructions will tell you what you need. In Kiev we needed only a copy of the NOA2, the I-129f in it's entirety is usually sent to the consulate and they will have it. We also did not need it for the AOS, only a copy of the NOA2.

So, just for my future refernce, what did the scum-sucking pile of doggy-do give you? An envelope with blank paper or what? I would file a complaint if I were you with the BAR asoc. Heck, I will file it FOR you if you like!!!!!!!!
