Not much thoughts on the transfer. If they do, then they do, if they don't, then they don't. But if I could ask them to transfer me from VSC to CSC and they would do it, then I don't mind asking because CSC is known to be faster. The rumor only said that the number of files and certain types of forms being transferred, somewhere like 80000 and I-751 is one of them, but they didn't say in detail regarding who or people from what exact filing dates is going to be transferred. So there is no guidelline for us to follow. Unless someone can post something more solid, like officially from USCIS, I wouldn't actually treat the so called "rumor" to be the truth, not to mean that the member from AILA is lying but I'd rather hear from USCIS for something this serious. I mean it's good to keep our hopes up, but don't drill on it so hard.

By the way, I don't want to or mean to make you paranoid or scared, but I'm looking at the timeline of your signature, you've got NOA on June 2008 but still no biometrics? Or you forgot to change your signature? I've read the timeline list of status for fellow VJers, the biometrics is usually done within two months from they received your petition. So if it's true that you didn't get the biometrics done, please give them a call or make an infopass, otherwise they might consider you abandon the case since you didn't respond (meaning by going to do the biometrics) to the biometrics letter. Just my 2 cents and please don't equal my words to any attorney's advice, again not mean to scare you, just a little concern.

VSC has transferred approximately 9,000 I-539 pending applications to CSC on January 23, 2009 with Receipts Notices dated between January 01, 2008 to December 31, 2008. VCS announced that they intend to transfer more I-539 application to CSC in early February 2009.

VSC is also planning on sending approximately 80,000 I-751 (Employment Authorization Card) applications from their Backlog to CSC, starting on first week of February at a pace of 10,000 I-751 applications/per week. VSC will continue to adjudicate the incoming I-751 applications. Starting on February 09, 2009 the Receipt Notices for I-130 applications will be sent to CSC from the Lockbox.

EAD is I-765. So is VSC transferring 80,000 I-765 or I-751 to CSC?

Starting on first week of February at a pace of 10,000 I-751 petitions/per week? How does VSC pick the 10,000? Would that be for those whose NOA dated between 1/1/08 to 12/31/08 also? Could someone please clarify?

They are specifically transferring 80,000 I-751s at the rate of 10,000 a week along with a specific number of I-765s and I-539s. So, 80,000 I-751s from the backlog at VSC is being transferred to CSC starting last week. This information is from AILA Doc. No. 09012774 released January 27, 2009

Can you tell me how does one know that your file has been transferred? I would hate to go through a transfer when all I have left is just a few weeks (according to time lines) Oh my God, I just hope that my wife's is not transfer at all. We are getting close the 10th month now.

What an inefficient system. Shifting paperwork back and forth without any Quality Control.

ok! so total 80,000 at 10,000 each week, the whole transfer process is going to take 8 weeks. By 8 weeks some of the people filed around March - May 08 should have been done already if they stay at VSC. Does that mean they're only transferring cases from June - Dec 08? Could someone provide more specific? What about the new cases filed in year 2009?

I have a feeling like watching half of a suspense movie and I'm tired (sure we all are) of guessing around.

They haven't released the criteria that is used to decide what files will be transferred or kept at VSC. They do say that they will continue to process incoming applications at VSC. If we had an idea of how many I-751s are approved each year we would have an idea of what percentage of the total 80,000 applications would be and an idea of how many files VSC might have backlogged. We don't know if this is 6 months worth or 2 months worth or a year's worth of backlog. That is what makes it frustrating. I too worried that my file while it was in the window for approval might be transferred - again! It would be very inefficient if files that were originally submitted to TSC and then transferred to VSC are transferred for a third time to CSC. Will they do that? I have no idea.

If your file is transferred you will almost definitely receive a notice of transfer via email update and status update on their website. Those of us who were originally transferred from TSC to VSC received this notice - although some didn't receive it in a very timely way.

From reading the above post by Anyta_Holland, I think my theory was right. They're transferring cases starting from June 2008.

I just opened a thread on our transfer to CSC from VSC. If you wish to read the email, refer to the thread "Has anyone received an email like this?"

I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of us.

I would assume they are sending the new application coming in first and then putting them in the bottom of the file at CSC, that would seem most fare because CSC processes them in less time then VSC, I sent my app march 15th 08 so I'm close and don't want my file sent to CSC
