I really hope that is not the case. How could someone go into this situation without taking some serious time to be certain of what you are doing? I know me and Oksana talked and talked about what all is involved withthis whole process and what it is going to take to make our relationship work.

My prayers are with mini and without knowing the details maybe it is something that they can work through.

I hope so!

Yeah... I have been reading other posts of people thinking the 90 days is some sort of "trial period" to see if you want to marry. Many people are misguided as to what applying for a K1 really entails. You are bringing your fiance here to marry and be together. That would imply forever! Duh.. I guess some people think its like BOWFLEX offer. If you don't like after 90 days return it for a refund

I won't go so far as to say the 90 days is a trial period, but we do plan on waiting to the 60-75 day point to marry. Just in case there are some deal breaking habits either of us have. I don't believe we will, because we have been talking about these things, but yo never know. Oksana is being completely removed from her culture and while I will have to adjust to living with her it will be by far more difficult for her. Thats why we decided to use most of the 90 days. I am certainly not looking at her as a BOWFLEX, but there are going to be issues with being together for for an extended time.

I am confident that our love is strong enough. We are just trying to be realistic and unfortunatley the only way for people in our situations to find out is just to do it. Although I am not worried, because lets just be honest I am PERFECT.

Maria and I are getting married in a few weeks after her getting here. We understand there will be some adjustments but we are committed to this and each other forever. We talk all the time and both understand there will have to be compromises from each of us. It doesn't matter who you plan to marry...USC or other this will always be the case. No feeling out time here... I have already done that and now its time to move forward. But I may do the BOWFLEX thing from time to time... I dont want a refund though!!! ;)

We known each other over 5 years and already lived together for over 3 years so I think we're good. lol We've been waiting a LONG time to get married so the ink might not even be dry on visa before we say I do.

I just went back to see how this conversation started......thats horrible about mini...she was so stressed out and so happy when they finally got their NOA2. Hope somebody slaps him for being such an ####. Guess its better he did it now rather then wait till she came to the US but still......:(

They lived together in the US for 2 years. She left for the sole purpose of going through the K1 process to get it over with so she could come back and marry and not have to worry about leaving. It's terrible!

OMG...I didn't realize they lived together for 2 years first. Wow...I can understand why the wait was getting to her so bad then. Its tough...I know. Live together as a family and then be ripped apart to go through this 'process' UGH.......after 2 years together and finally be able to get married and then break up.......WHY??? The poor girl.....

On another note...how in the world did she manage to stay in the US for 2 years? Or was he with her? I'm Canadian and we're only allowed 6 months in a year. I guess she could have been on a student or work visa...they allow longer times.

I am so excited for all of you who are getting your SO's prepared for their interviews. Admittedly I am a bit jealous, but also happy that I get to see how you prepare for the interview. Its kind of like I get to watch a practise run before I have to jump in. I am very happy for all of you though and trust that my jealousy is minimal at best.

Speaking of mini did she ever say when her interview date was?

I spoke to her 2 days ago and apparently they broke up...i hope they get back tho

Wow! that is bad news! I don't know the details, but I hope it works out the best for her, no matter what happens. It really sucks though...
