Anyway....good morning everyone!!!

Lil' - 6 months?? WOW...that is insane! The Netherlands is about a 5 week wait...I'd go nuts if it were more!

Richard - Mary?? Was that her name?? I thought it was something like Marie....

Yeah... Marie... now that does ring a bell or two... although, I thought it was more Spanish... South American or something

LOL... emotional retard... thats funny... I have to admit that my SO is handling this much better than I am as well... Although, she is also starting to get impatient.... but in 26 days she will be here for 2 1/2 weeks (assuming the BP lets her in the country)... that will take the edge off.

Hi, my name is Richard and I am an emotional retard! :)

More Spanish, huh? Hmmmm...

I am also having more trouble with the wait than my SO....I've always been an impatient person though. And he's a saint for putting up with me..LOL!:luv:

Yeah patience isn't my strong suit either. We flip back and forth on who is the more calming influence and the voice of reason. Its usually him. lol

They give you an estimate of 4 months for an interview but thats not usually the case. Also, its summer time and things seem to slow down a bit then. When you are seeing people from March not having interview dats yet, it may also mean that they have no updated their timeline. Many people forget to do this.

As for the cost of the envelope, it should be our responsibilty to pay it. The consulate can't be expected to pay 15$ for every person's ExpressPost. It has to be Expresspost because they have to put your passport with visa included in there and you have to sign for it when its delivered at home or when you pick it up from the post office.

Waiting really does suck the big one. And each case is different. Hopefully the wait won't be too long for you guys. I only just got my NOA2 and every day waiting for it seemed like it took forever. but once you have it, stuff really does start to fly. Don't give up hope! :)

Everybody is emotional in this situation. But more so a lot of people are simply getting mad and upset, about the lack of information that USCIS should provide. Instead they come up with these "deadlines" and that's it. They do not understand that people are not playing games here, people's personal life and future is hanging in the air. :ranting:

My SO and I are both going crazy here. Some days she is very sad that it is taking so long.. Other days I am the sad one... But we understand that the patience we have now will pay off and be a memory later. A life time of happiness for a few crappy months of waiting is worth it!

D_n_M, understood and I have to agree... that when all is said and done, this will be just a memory... and certainly worthwhile...

Maybe it was MARE-EEEEEE? Man, I can't remember!

I'm on the edge of my seat these days though. It seems like we are so close and yet so far. It is a test for anyone to go through this and the difficulty may even weed out the false relationships. Perhaps that is the method behind the madness?

I do believe that is the purpose, but it doesn't help out if you are a legitimate couple. I understand that there is fraud in the world, but couldn't our time be better spent working on people who are already here illegally than going after those who are applying and going through the proper channels? It seems almost counterproductive to me. I am no expert in the field though so why would anything I say make any sense.

I totally agree. Just because some people have fraudulent relationships, why should we suffer???????

Not sure I understand. "Our time better spent working on people who are here illegally"? "Going after those who are applying and going through the proper channels"

Who's time working on illegals? Who is going after the proper ones?

Immigration officers who are doing all of the background checks on us. Wouldn't there time be better spent on tracking down illegal aliens already in the U.S.? Maybe I am speaking out of frustration, but that doesn't change the fact that there are by far more illegal aliens than there are applicants for immigration.

Yeah I understand... It is easy for us to be critical on this end of things. But there should be a cleaner way to do everything. I would guess that if they allowed everyone to call for answers they would have to hire a full time staff just to answer calls. I have seen posts where people are whining after only 30 days. Imagine if they called USCIS and whined every week. Nothing would get done because of all the calls interupting the task at hand.

I want to be fair and give the benefit of the doubt, even though my opinion of the process is poor.
