Hi SraCastillo,

I've been getting a busy signal all day!! Everyone must be calling to try to find out about the interview dates! Not sure if I've been scheduled as of right now.

SraCastillo did you ever get a K-3 interview scheduled?

Just called now. They said still scheduling.

Call everyday of this week.

I am in the same boat with you. Look like your case was completed couple of weeks before me. Likelihood, you should go in for March. My wife is still waiting there. I wish this waiting will be over soon.

Got interview date for k3 April 22 but nothing on I-130 yet...

Do you all know if the interview is scheduled first and then the package is sent to the Embassy? or is it Vice Versa? Just trying to figure out if I can make the deadline for March interview.

yes, i finally got an interview date for March 17

Congratulations and best of luck for the interview. When you case was completed at NVC. PLease tel me know because mine was completed on Feb. 4 and I am still waiting. Did you call a live person or got this info on AVS.

thanks for the congrats. i found out trough the visa specialist's line i called them and they told me the date. my i-130 was completed at NVC on January 12 but the embassy at muy husband's country is very busy and slow so they take up to 4 months to assing you interview after your case is completed.

My understanding is NVC scans all the documents and stores them in their system. The consulates do have direct access to these documents for a specific case. Yes NVC sends all the documents (paper copy ...oroginals) to the consulate via DHL. Even if the originals are in transit consulates can look at the scan documents and start scheduling the interviews in the second week of the month.

Malaikabab, thanks for your warm words. i do thank the lord for this at least i know that in 70 days i will see my husband again and i will be able to bring him if God help us.

I got my interview date! The automated system wasn't updated because I talked to an operator at 11:30 a.m. and they told me an interview had been scheduled yesterday and the necessary information mailed out. I jumped up and down, screamed, thanked the woman profusely and told her she had just made this the best day of my life, hung up the phone and hysterical laughing turned into hysterical crying. Oh, Allah is good. Thanks for all the support guys!

Likelihood, the K1/K3 should go in quicker than normal CR1/IR1. That was what I have been informed during the filing. (The attorney told me that filing I-129 for K1/K3 is always quicker than I-130 for CR1/IR1). This is because K1/K3 needs to pay more on adjustment of status in the later date, anyway.

I think, we are comparing two different things regarding the interview timelines. After reading, I have no wonder why the K1/K3 got only a month after the case has been completed and has been sent directly for consulate interview.

Congratulations to everyone who has the date set up for the interview!
