Candid, I can't believe they did that!!!! Well, yes I can... Un-freakin-believable. He must have just got some lazy, PMS b1tch that didn't wanna look. The officer I spoke to was an older gentleman and he gave me all the info I wanted. What a b1tch! I hope they fire her!!!! :ranting:

I'm so sorry the infopass didn't work :(

I have been calling NVC regularly to see if they assigned a case number or created a bill for us. Nothing yet. The kids all got their NVC case numbers and bills created though. I can't do anything with them, however, until they send me their copies of their passports and my husband sends their original birth certificates (I only have copies). Then the lawyer can start working on their stuff.

Today I also want to finish my 2008 taxes. I need to get a tax id number for everyone. I found the forms to fill out, but you don't send that out until you send your completed tax forms with it. So much paperwork it's crazy!!! I haven't even sent a complete package to my husband or anything. At this rate, I might just wait until I go see him then I can bring everything with me. Since they're originals too, it's better, so they don't get lost in the mail.

I am still trying to console my husbie as he is so upset and disappointed. He drove an hour just to reach the local office. The girl told him NOTHING. He asked the status of the application, she said ON PROCESS. He asked if we are on background check, she said I DO NOT KNOW. Husbie asked about the estimated time, she said I CANNOT GIVE YOU ANY TIME.

My goodness! It was such a waste of time! What is she doing in that office if there is NOTHING she could tell?

Man that is really not fare at all

damn I hope you get to make him feel better

Okay, I'm gonna ask a stupid question. How did you find out it was forwarded? Do they give that information on the automated line? or do they email? or what? As of right now, I just call the NVC number to see if they have assigned any case numbers.

PS- 287 days to NOA2...Amateurs! Just kidding ;)

I called everyday

mostley late night talk to an officer ans ask if case was assigned

till it was assigned

then i found out by calling or automatic system that the ds-3032 got generated

there are 2 numbers to call 1 for CR-1 & 1 for K-3

Then i know when they said they mailed my package to caracas and tracked it with DHL

see short cuts

Yeah.. She actually did that to my husband. I want to show my husband that I am so mad at what she did but I can't. It would just make him feel worst that he already is. Perhaps she is sooo lazy and she wants to kick my husband out of the office. There were just 2 black ladies at the window according to my husband. She just asked for the infopass and NOTHING happened. :ranting:

I just hope you will get your case number soon.. Goodluck

Yeah.. It is really not fair. She is one complete B1tch!!! My husband's birthday would be on friday but he was so upset and disappointed because of what happened.

Goodluck on your case..

I've read the shortcuts so many times. But those are for the CR-1. Seems like the K3 is less involved than this.

just keep calling and asking narina.. i can with say conviction that you cannot trust the letters they send

"usually" the k-3 is at nvc for 1-2 weeks, then onto the consulate.

p.s- 254 days, and add 41 days to that all together with nvc....so im adding the nvc to make it 295 days and counting ;) lol

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

HI everyone !

I'm back from CR.

No approval for me while I was gone... What a bummer.

We spent all yesterday morning running around getting that stupid certified copy of my husbands passport so I can get a tax ID number for him. What a pain in the butt. If he wasn't with me, I never could have gotten what I needed.

I was so upset yesterday. My husband stayed with me outside the airport for 45 minutes before I had to go in. He told me not to worry about him. Soon we can be together. I was so choked up. I wanted to stay so bad. He asked me to change my flight and stay with him. I needed to come home and be with my kids. I missed my kids so much. It is so hard to have your heart in two places.

I have an info pass appt tomorrow afternoon. I guess we'll see who's is using my petition for a coaster.

This is the response I got from the congressional dept at VSC... See Below.

I understand and that is due to the sheer volume of cases that we have pending at this time. If you so desire I can keep an eye on the case for you and let you know when the status changes—just let me know.

Vermont Service Center

I also put in a service request for info. Actually got really lucky when I called and got a lovely woman on the phone who was very helpful and very sweet.

Make sure you get an immigration officer and not a customer service person.

What do I need to bring with me? I didn't have a printer when I made the appointment. Do I need that receipt or just the number?

Do I need the NOA for the k-3?

I am so fed up with everyone saying they don't have access to the information due to Privacy laws. #######?????

Yes you have to show the print out to the guards at the door. You'll also need the receipt numbers of everything you're going to ask about. Whether it's the I-129, 130 or the expedite.

After what happened to Candid, then I just want to say, if they don't give you information, insist on speaking to a supervisor and tell them you'll wait all day if you must.
