*sigh.. i know I would go mental.. and my mother would NEVER support me in that as a single person. I have no idea what this gal is doing.. and how she is going to cope.. and why any Dr. in his right mind would invetro her I have NO idea.

People who can't have babies naturally, need to accept the fact that they can't have babies. I don't care what the excuse is... It's obviously not meant to be.

I find it ironic that the people who can't have kids go in for some treatment and come out of it with 2-8 kids.

What bothers me more is when they call it a "miracle" when it is nothing close to miraculous.

Her mom said , she's addicted to having babies.

so i guess she'll have some more babies in the near future.

Not sure how she'll name n remeber all her 8 babies.ahe already have 6 kids prior to this birth.

What really bugs me is that when parents have multiples alot of companies will give out free formula, diapers, baby gear etc and then other random people will give money or other forms of support. Then it's like #######? These people chose to do this - they should be supporting them on there own. When you have a single baby your on your own?

If you can't support them on your own don't be having them.

Worddddd. I don't want to judge her because I think she has an obvious mental disorder and I don't want to judge her because she is a single mother with (I'm assuming) no job and no support besides her mother and father.

But it is so hard not to judge when this is beyond incompetency. I mean, I love John and Kate + 8 but they have two things: A stable life and money (from their tv show and their family) to make sure their kids are living a decent quality life.

But the difference here is not that some guy left her alone with all these kids but that she chose to try for babies on her own and there IS no father to give child support or parental leave if I understand her predicament.. What guy is EVER going to walk into that situation (14 mouths to feed and needing a daddy)..

Hi Everyone,

What an interesting article. Thanks for posting it here, Thetreble.

On that note, here are my thoughts on it:

-I agree, the doctors here were irresponsible professionally, in terms of implanting 8 embryos into a woman with 6 children already. Shame on them, for wanting the fame and fortune behind it, at the babies' and the parents' expense.

-I agree, the woman was irresponsible, for wanting those 8 embryos implanted into her and for wanting more children, despite having 6 already. What she was thinking about there...I have no idea....

-I agree, anybody who is married and/or have children shouldn't be living with their parents, regardless of circumstances. I don't care if they are the nicest parents in the world, or the meanest parents in the world. The point is, once you get married and/or have kids...it's your responsibility, not your parents'.

-I disagree though, that couples who can't naturally have babies should just accept their condition. Just because one has a medical condition, such as infertility and other conditions which is not of their choice, and it can be treated with modern medicine, then they should go ahead with the treatments. As long as the treatments are done in a responsible and professional way, and the parents are able to care for their children responsibly afterwards, then that's fine. Alternatively, there are other means to have children non-naturally, such as through adoption, foster care, etc. which responsible couples can consider too, as there are so many children out there that need good homes. As well, responsible people can consider having pets too, which are kind of like children...

Anyways, that's my view on this topic...now it's the next person's turn....

She has not been parenting the 6 she already had, with no father, now she has 14 test tube babies, what a waste.

She certainly would never in a million years be allowed to adopt a child. My husband and I would be rejected out of hand by many adoption agencies because he is over 50 and we have been married less than 5 years. Yet somehow it is problematic to stop someone like this from reproducing? The mind boggles.

How could she afford the treatment though? I would like to know how she supports the children she already has and how she was able to afford in vitro.

In vitro is EXPENSIVE.
