my fiance was supposed to have his medical in london on wednesday...but it doesnt look good for anyone trying to travel in there.

thank God it was just his medical that might have to get canceled and not his interview

My fiance is used to the snow now tho, lol....since he has visited chicago SEVERAL times when chicago has dropped inches upon inches of snow in a few hours and all the while it was -35F wind chill. I think I have readied him for the london every 20 years of snow they get.

good luck to everyone who has any time of medical/interview going on in this next week in london!!

I hope everything clears up VERY soon!!

It should be ok for Wednesday the severe weather warning is only in place for the next 24 hours, good luck

Well snow isn't going to be the problem in London tomorrow so much as ice on the roads according to the met office. Hoping this means good news for Dawn and Zoe.

02 February 2009 : The Embassy is closed today due to adverse weather conditions.

Visa applicants: If you had a visa appointment scheduled for today, February 2nd, please telephone freephone 0800-027-0051 to reschedule a priority appointment.

Hey everybody! Write down that number and save it. Maybe it's a sneaky way to get through to the Embassy for free in the future. Has that number been published anywhere before??

Anybody still awake in the UK? Is it still snowing? I bet Shaz went out and made a monkey snowman.

I've never seen it before -- good call. One to try in the future? Worst case scenario is that, much like when you call the main switchboard, they tell you to get stuffed and call the extortion line.

I would think they would know who was scheduled though for that date for priority scheduling...

but yes, if you want to get through to a human then for sure write down that number!! :)

yea im hoping that the trains are good to go by wednesday. supposedly according to some news reports iv read from the US ( ) they say another 8 inches in london.

who knows where that is tho....maybe northern or southern?? either way, it better be far away from the medical and london embassy buildings!!!!

good luck to everyone tomorrow!!

I dont get our country i really don't I just dont get how 10 cm of snow could bring us to a stand still and count as a snow in? we must have got more snow than we have had in years and i walked to work in my inch high heels. pah. the only one upset was my cat cos he got a shot of cold air up his a$$ and my friend said it was hard to concentrait when driving because she wanted to look at the snow vortex coming at us and not the road ahead. Now it seems to be melting anyhow.

can you imagine if we got the same ammount of snow Canada does or Alaska. Wth would our country do then?

Was very icy this morning but because it's been really sunny all the snow here has gone.
