Hello everyone, I was just wondering if my current unemployment has a huge bearing on my fiance's visa application as I'm a recent graduate still looking for work. Anyways, my father would be helping me sponsor my fiance, but I just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on this issue...

if you have a co-sponsor then you should be fine

moving from K-1 general discussion to consulate forum where this topic is suggested to occur

YMMV

Not a problem if you have a co-sponsor.

You have maybe 4-5 months until you need to give an I-134 and you may land something before then. They go by CURRENT, verifiable income first. If you get a decent paying job 3 days before the interview and can present a verification letter, you are good to go.

If the co-sponsor qualifies you will be fine. Good luck

Alright everyone, quick question about this I-134 again. I am still unemployed and was just wondering how I should fill out the I-134. Should I put down Unemployed or what not? I would also like to ask if I-864A is the right document for my family member who will help sponsor my fiance. Thanks!

For consulate purposes and a K-1 visa any version of the I-864 is NOT right.

Simply another I-134

YMMV
