 Yes...you are right Anya...Aaron gets the full 'Lucky Bastard' for getting it early. But, that is a great blessing for Aaron so I'll call it some good Karma in his case

I must have bad Karma :crying: ...had to go to the embassy twice for the K1 (once for interview / again a few weeks later with missing_requested additional papers) and also had an interview for AOS! I was really hoping for a 'fly-by' on the Removal of Conditions, cuz AAm and I just bought a house together (which I figgered would seal the deal) but now we're stuck waiting on the biometrics...ugh...never ends...but then again I feel fortunate because none of this has really been too much sweat...just a helluva lot of steps...(hence my envy over Brother Aaron being able to skip a step )

Peace to Thais!

 Brother Roi...you know me better than that...never offended!

Hmmmm...it was as I suspected concerning the delay in the scheduling of AAm's biometrics for her removal of conditions on her 10 year greencard. I called the VSC today and they didn't have her receipt number in the system! I guess it 'got lost'. No biggie...it happens... (Trust me though brothers and sisters, I was not this patient when AAm was living in Thailand and we were dying to get to her K1 interview  ). So we filled out a service request form while I was on the line with them and I got a new service request number and I think we'll be back in the game again.

Man...I just realized that I have massively 'chilled out' since AAm initially arrived in the USA...  I guess the USCIS has beat me down so much over the past...geez I guess its getting close to 4 years now ... that I've learned to roll with the punches a bit better than I used to... :innocent::yes::lol:

Anyways...if I she doesn't have her appointment within 45 days from now (which is what the USCIS told me on the fone) then I might revert to my old-self and open a can o' whoopazz on them!

Peace and blessings to this thread...

Mark

I have a quick question folks, and it was a bit unclear in the BKK embassy info page. Do they require all vaccinations/tests (like all the boosters) to be completed before the interview? Is there a good way for her to do this (i'm especially concerned about MMR since its 3x) if she grew up in Isarn and doesn't recall what she got?

AOS Mailed 5-02-2010

NOA1 5-12-2010

Forward CSC 6-06-2010

Biometrics 6-16-2010

AOS Touch 7-10-2010

EAD Approve 7-21-2010

EAD Arrival 7-30-2010

Greencard Approve 9-08-2010

Greencard Arrives 9-15-2010

No Interview

The series doesn't need to be completed before the interview. If I remember correctly (all the way back to June) the series only needs to be started and doesn't even need to be current.

My wife is also from Isan and had no idea what shots she had in the past. I know she only got the first in the series for each at Bumrungrad and got the follow-ups in the U.S..

PS any tips for getting her acclimated to the Midwest winter? It seems like that first one might be a little rough.

Heavy coats, stylish boots, hats, and gloves. Resist the urge to let her buy high-heeled boots. She'll thank you later. She's going to be cold, nothing you can do about that. I tell her that I don't like the cold either but you get more used to it as the years pass. I'm also considering buying these for my wife since she is not exactly used to walking on ice.

Haha.. I have no idea. My wife can barely tolerate the winter here in Tampa Bay.

We went to Manhattan for Christmas last year and she nearly died; it was only in 20s-30s...

sounds like i got my work cut out for me. I think the days of keeping the thermostat under 60 are over.

Don't be surprised if she cranks it up to 80 whenever you aren't looking. I speak from personal experience.

My wife likes it at 80 when I'm not home.. but I'm in Florida and we're talking summer, so no complaints here!
