On this Nonimmigrant Fiance Visa Application about half way down they ask that must bring with them:

Evidence of Engagement to Your Fiance

What are they looking for ?

you can furnish pictures of your engagement, the ring receipt, copies of e-mails where you are talking about the engagement and your love for each other, receipts from an engagement party, pictures of gifts received, cards of congratulations, and ......
