With the K3 you will be able to work once you go through AOS which takes about 90 days once you enter US.

or if you want to wait on the I-485 filing you can submit the I-765 separately

Unless it's because the passport is expiring too soon, it's a mistake. Turkey's reciprical agreement with the US is 24 months on a K3 visa. They can take it back to the Consulate for correction.

Doesn't it mean that it is valid for six months to enter the US?? The I-94 would prob expire in two years.

No, K3 visa are generally valid for multiple entries for a two year period. There may be exceptions but Turkey isn't one of them. The only valid reason to shorten the validity is if the passport expires sooner. Consulates do make mistakes though.
