Poverty line question

I was laid off because of the slow economy and plan to be working come spring but the problem is this, from what I understand with two people(me and my filipina wife,no kids) the poverty line is 17,500. I made around 15,500 at my job and around 8,000 from unemployment. Can I use my unemployment earnings to keep above the poverty line and have my I-864 approved.

Also did I figure the poverty line right?, I count the both of us?, or could I go with the 13.000 for a 1 family unit in the poverty line chart.

One more question and I promise that is it, lol. I read that I will need the last 3 tax returns. I assume they mean my W2 forms, if so with it not being april(when taxes are due)can I get away with 2007,2006, and 2005. All of which I easily make the poverty line or will they want me to send in my 2008 W2 forms which I have already recieved.

any help will be appreciated, thank you

This posting does not apply to US citizenship, doesn't it? I didn't file any affidavit with my naturalization papers. Did I forget anything?

This process has to go through for her to become a US citizen. So I assume its the right spot but I am thinking about posting it somewhere else on this forum because there has been very little response here.

Line 9 of the 1040 IRS form states you have to list unemployment compensation as income, and even pay taxes on it, so it has got to be income. Also have your wife file an I-864A to share the burden.

This needs to be moved to a different forum. It is irrelevant to citizenship.
