Wow,

I can't belive this! We mailed our application on Wednesday evening, and the check already cleared! I just checked my account, and sure enough they took the money. This is the only time I was actually excited to see that the check cleared! I guess this means that they accepted application as complete to start processing?

Ours is cashed also. We mailed the packet Monday.

I'm trying to make out the little numbers scrawled across the top of the check (can view it online). Looks like it starts with EAC. I don't know if that means the case will stay in Vermont or if a CSC transfer could just happen randomly later on.

Yes, there is something on the top of the check. It's hard to read but it looks like CUAC and bunch of numbers and then space and SA and six numbers after that. I am not sure what it means, but I am glad they cashed the check.

My check hasn't been cashed yet. I mailed out express USPS mail to VSC on 9:23am this past Wednesday, got e-mail notice from USPS on 12:12pm Thursday they received the package, it was signed by a Dan Renaud. I googled that name, he is the Chief of Transformation Program Office of USCIS a while back and now the Director of VSC. Glad to know there are people that filed around the same time as me, we can keep each other informed of our timeline.

I guess it depends on the service center, some are more efficient than others, and I live very close where the CSC, so I guess that's why they cashed the check so fast. I am sure yours will get cashed soon too!

Is the California Service Center or Vermont??

Ours is cashed also. We mailed the packet Monday.

I'm trying to make out the little numbers scrawled across the top of the check (can view it online). Looks like it starts with EAC. I don't know if that means the case will stay in Vermont or if a CSC transfer could just happen randomly later on.

I was reading other cases and in the removing conditions the numbers in the check doesn't mean anything. You need to wait until the case number in the Biometrics letter not even in the NOA1 to start looking your case online (is what a lot of people here wrote in other topics).

Good luck.

06/04/10 - Check cashed

06/10/10 - NOA received

Well, it's always been hard to read the number on the check.

But the case number on the NOA will match the number on the biometrics notice.

PS - Our service center is Vermont.

Not true, As I wrote I was reading a LOT of posts in the Removing Condition forums and you can see that for everybody the case number in the NOA1 was different from the Biometrics notice (and the number in the NOA1 didn't work online to check the status just the number in the biometrics)

Check this post to see for yourself. Kathryn41 explained this better than me.

Yes, you're right. If you check your original NOA, it clearly states that you will only be able to track your case once you have the bio notice.

I think the IRS is the only government agency that cashes checks faster than USCIS... :)
