As a singer myself, I will say that the SSB is very hard to sing if you don't have an outstanding range.

"RED GLARREEE" is pretty excruciating most of the time.

I know. I cringed when I heard it during the Superbowl. And I usually cringe when I hear other renditions of it just before it gets to that part. Just in case it turns out really really badly. You have to be a super good singer to get through that bit. I think they should just turn it into an instrumental.

So i've been told that it's a difficult note to hit.

I cringe every time I hear some pop artist sing their rendition of the SSB. It's more like a modern urban contemporary INTERPRETATION. Holy ####### some of these interpretations of the SSB are absolutely horrible. They should be required, by contract (ofc not by law) to sing it in the standard fashion. Only deviation that is allowed is to play Jimi Hendrix's version of it.

This hurts my earzzzz.

I was wondering if they'd show the one with Rosanne at the baseball game singing the anthem. Though in her case she was funny and actually did that on purpose (with the crotch grab at the end). Everyone else thought they could sing and failed misserably...

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...

 the jimi version is ACE!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
