  1. 1. Your former Canadian employer would like you to come back to Canada for 2 weeks to work would you:

    • Say Yes! It would be lovely to see everyone again! When do I leave?

    • Say you would like to...but no, your spouse would be none-too-happy, so you decline the offer

    • Say no - you don't want to be away from your spouse for 2 weeks (and your spouse wouldn't be happy about it either)

    • Say no, you don't want to be away from your spouse - but your Spouse would be happy to have the house to themselves for 2 weeks

Considering my husband is banned from Canada, the only way I can go home to visit is without him anyhow, so I have no trouble whatsoever leaving him here alone :P I'd go in a heartbeat, and would stay longer than 2 weeks if I could. Few months in fact would do me good.

I would go.

My husband and I have spent time apart before, we certainly can do it again. Besides my family doesn't really like him anyways, probably better off not having him there. :P

Wow. That sucks. I guess that voids any hopes of attending the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

And can they do that? :<

Like what reason did they give him? Just, you are not worthy so get out? @_@

I don't watch the Olympics anyway, I didn't even know they were to be in Vancouver this year. :P

He has a juvenile record, she deemed him a menace to society and banned him, on threat of arrest on sight if he attempted to enter the country again. Yes, they can do that. He has some paperwork to complete to apply for rehabilitation to allow him entry, but he's been a lazy #### ####### and hasn't done it, yet :P

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I was jokingly referring to that it is only 2009 right now!! Reba resides in the "Carolina"

I told you I don't pay attention to the Olympics, so honestly, I have no idea when or where they're held. I really don't give a flying squirrel. :P
