We flew Casablanca, Paris, Chicago and then Austin. We stayed overnight at my brother's home in New Braunfels then my parents came to take us home to Los Fresnos. We then traveled to Mexico already and Farid commented that Mexico is dirtier than Morocco and there are people much more poorer in Mexico than Morocco as well. He has been helping my dad with maintenance work around the home and I am hoping to find a job soon. He is waiting on his SS card to go look for work as well. He is driving my car around our empty lot as a treat. It still needs insurance and the sticker. He can't believe that the weather here is hot now and also sticky. I have been cooking for my parents and I and my Dad just loves this. Overall it has been a good week and God willing things will only get better for us. I thank the good people of Morocco for letting me live in their country for a year and 2 months. It was quite an experience and I will never forget it. I will soon be putting in the POE experience as Farid tells me exactly what went on in Chicago.

March 9, 2015 Momma arrives in Texas to live with us.

January 30, 2016 Momma leaves back to Morocco for a visit.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

How come you headed back to US?

I think you were waiting there for him to get his visa??

well what a nice a experience for you to have been there all that time.

You surely had plenty of time to get to know him and his family on his turf.

I am sure you have your own "culture shock" going on.

I always do after having lived abroad for months at a time
