I love the Superbowl; it kicks azz. For the last 2 years, I've gone down to London for NFL UK's official bash (which was ace) but I'm staying in Brum for this one. Picked up some tickets today for the bash at the Sports Cafe (only £4 - bargain) and let's face it, where else is gonna be open at 4am on a Sunday!!!

Oh yeah, and #### work on Monday!

sorry not interested Daymo but when you come to visit I will take both of you to the new Dallas Stadium they are building it looks amazing, might change my mind then.

Last time we drove by it, we were watching a helicopter dropping picking up loads from around the perimiter and dropping then off inside the stadium, I have taken pics every visit to show the progress it is gonna be some stadium

Don't worry Shaz; it's pretty much the same in the states as it is here, in that the guys are into sports and the gals aint. But any UK guys that may have thought NFL was too "stop/start" for their liking, will get over that once they get used to it. I never used to be able to get my head around it for the aforementioned reason, and baseball!!??? I dismissed that as rounders, ffs! However, after deciding the last time I was living out there that I was obliged to at least attempt to embrace some U.S. culture, I did so via the sports, and I'm really glad I did.

So there! :P

When I met my hubby online a few years ago, he was a steelers fan. So He was loving the American sports before loving an american. Just so happens I'm from Pennsylvania and also a steelers fan. As for baseball, He hated it at first and now surprisingly he's a fan, We're going to a game this May, and we went to a steelers game Sept 2006.

Now as for Cricket, I just can't get into it. It's quite confusing. Ever since I watched my husband play and they tried to teach me how to score, went way over my head.

You sound exactly like my missus!! She simply can't get her head around the intricacies of cricket, and the fact that a single game can take up to 5 days to complete, just blows her stereotypically American mind. It's a well established fact over here that trying to teach an American the rules of cricket is akin to trying to complete a thesis in Mandarin - it just aint happening.

The problem with you lot, is that your sports all have to be crash, bang, wallop, and with the exception of its dreadful "20/20" format, cricket just isn't like that.

I don't like any sports so the Superbowl doesn't interest me. I found something new out about Tom last week, I thought he hated sports but turns out he excited about the Superbowl. I groaned when I found out, I think it's something to do with the Steelers and him being from PA.

Go Cardinals! Can't be a Steeler ... too close to the Sheffield Steelers. Different Country, different sport, still can't compromise my morals. :)

I prefer rugby. I don't understand the commericals every 5 mins on American Football that annoys me. I wish it had the pace like rugby if that makes sense. Yeah I will watch it with my wife and it be good to watch in HD. I tell my wife its not a real game its American Ladies Padded Rugby. They are not real men lol

I will be watching as when in Rome do what the romans do.
