Hello! My father will be co-sponsoring Insha'Allah now I just need to know what all he needs to gather. Does he need a letter from his employer? He gets direct deposit for Veteran Benefits as well as making well over the poverty level and that is direct deposit too. He does not get any pay stubs from his work place. He has tax forms from the last two years and he will have some forms for this year as he is filing early. Now, what exactly does he need to provide as evidence? Can you please tell me? Thank you.

First of all you both need to fill out the form I-134 NOT just him... I guess according to what aforementioned he's perfectly eligible to sponsor your husband... I don't think the tax transcripts should be originals, they'll verify it anyways

Hello, I believe the form is the I-1864 not the I-134. I thought the I-134 was for the K1. Check the guides because the one I just checked, for married couples and using a co-sponsor you use the I-1864.

THe form is the I-1864 not the I-134

CasandraYounes,

I-864 is for CR1 immigrant visa and I-134 is for K3 nonimmigrant visa.

Mahitab,

As far I remember You and your father both will fill out I-134 with 3 years of tax transcript, also any other evidence such as your fathers citizenship certificate copy, document stating his relationship to you, bank statement, and etc. Others can confirm this as well.

Good luck!

Since I am full-time student what evidence must I supply? For proof of relationship must he type a letter?

I have questions about it too. My husband is full time student, so he will fill out the I-134 and send me his 2008 tax papers. We still dont know who could be my co-sponsor....maybe his mom will, so all she needs to send me is her I-134, her last tax papers, and passport? and if we dont get a co-sponsor?

Thank you
