Today was a good day. Radz is here in US and we went to my parents house for a visit and for lunch. I was so happy my parents love Radz so much and I can see she loves them back we had a great time. I was so proud of her and so happy that my family showed her so much love. I was treated the same why by her parents when I visited her in Davao.0

I don't know who was more nervous, me, when I visited my future in-laws, or Marie, when she my family. I know I was terrified, to be in a strange country, and not wanting mess it up. We all met at a Chinese Restaurant for dinner, and her Dad sat next me, squeezing my leg the whole time. I thought I was just lucky to make it out of the restaurant alive, and only a few thousand pesos lighter. I knew I was in good stead, later, when he hailed a cab for Marie and I to head back to the hotel.

Back in the states, my mom was the only one who said anything. The rest of the family accepted her right away, the nephews and nieces most readily. But my mom, "Well, I see you are taking good care of her," or "You seem to be doing a good job raising her." Was she hinting at the age difference?

Anyways, I am glad to hear you passed that hurdle!

Thank you. Hum we had chinese food the day I meet Radz parents, I think I was more nervious than she was meeting my parents. Her father the first thing he ask me was " What are you intentions with my Daughter", I told him that with his permission I wanted to marry her, and things when great from there on. Now I look back on it, im glad he ask me that right off, I was trying to figure out the best time to ask him for permission to marry her, and he beat me to the punch. Her family was great to me and Im so happy with the results of todays visit. I know my parents very well and knew she would be accepted but this was even better than i hoped for....

I was a bit nervous when I went to see Shir's parents. They do not speak a lot of english but I was assured that they were very happy with me so I guess I am accepted.

I know my entire family is all set to welcome Shir into the family! I do expect Shir to be nervous but I know everything will be just fine.

neither one of us have experience this meeting of parents- iam not currently home in ph so he makes ado with my uncle and his family here. He admits he was nervous but i was cool about it coz there isnt nothing more than the need for him to just meet them (or vice versa) coz they wont speak for my parents anyway. Alls well. Its yet to be seen how is it to actually meet our respective parents. (his dad died long ago) He says his mom would like me and i reckon its the same from my side too.

Well.... you both got pass the rock bottom! all u have todo now is stay inlove and work hard to keep the family together. Happy for ya
