Hello everybody!!!

I'm from Spain and my fiance is from USA. We haven't started with the VISA stuff yet and i've not been searching a lot of info about the question ima ask you guys. During the process i'm not allowed to travel to USA using the VWP (visa waiver) or another tourist visa? and if the answer is no...can my fiance travel to my country to visit me?

As you got experience in that i think is a fast and sure way to get this info...I just was wondering.

Thanks so much to all of you!

Yes you can visit the US and she can visit you in Spain once the visa process has been started. Read this FAQ for more information on what you may need and what to know. It is possible, and many many people have visited while their application was pending, but there is also the possibility that you may be denied entry.

Good luck.

You can visit, just make sure if you are going to the US, that you have plenty of documents to show you have ties to your home country (letter from work, rental agreement etc) I went over xmas and it was fine, not one question even though I told them I was visiting my fiance. they didn't ask to see anything and I had a lot of stuff with me as I was a little paranoid they'd put me on the next plane home!

I went over at Christmas and had no problems

Just make sure that you are eligable for the VWP, and make sure you have a return ticket as well as all the other stuff Zoe and Hal told you to have, the more evidence of ties to your own coutry the better

Dont forget to register with Esta which has just stared it will tell you if you are elegibale for VWP and is now a requirement to get into the States, but nothing is guaranteed till you get through POE,

Also no problems for your fiance to visit you either
