Yes. I am but i still can not get excited till he walks thru the gates at the airport. My heart refuses to be fooled again.LOL

Hey Sus,

I hope this petition does some good, but you know how it is in Jamaica. In 2000 I worked part-time for a company that did road studies in Jamaica and some of the other islands. The lead engineer said working with the government of Jamaica was extremely fustrating and the project was eventually abandoned because of lack of government participation. I think the project was suppose to run 3 years. I have never been to Jamaica while on vacation and not seen an accident. Another bad area is bottom road in Mobay or the "hipstrip" I think that's what they call it. I don't know how the hell people can speed through there.

I agree, Lawny - it's worth a shot, but who knows - The members on negril.com travel back and forth often - They are really serious about this, and sending emails, etc... to various government officials - The moderator of the site posted that he has a meeting with the President of the Chamber of Commerce, and he will bring it to their attention- I hope enough people can raise their voices and make a change -

I have seen some scary accidents in JA - and I agree with you on the hipstrip - I have been amazed at watching people speed through there.
