Heather - another question about DHL....how long does it take for them to put up the shipments online? Like yours was 3/30 (or 3/31 according to DHL..) so did you find it online on the 31st, or on april 1st?

I assume that the updating might be "in live", for i can see that ours has been in fact delivered today at 2.23pm..and it's now for me, 22.37

so ten hours after it's visible.

they must have the techno so that the informations is updated in-live, damn, i know that's not the right word, but i can't find it right now.

I wish that it could as fast for everyone. really, now I am going to be "blocked" by another thing that i have to go through, to which i was sure it would be solved before the visa arrives.

Marriage: 01-26-2032

homesick: 01-30-2032

Divorce: 10-13-2032

you will stay married for 290 days.

the reason i asked that question was because they said that my package left today, but there is nothing on dhl.com yet. so i'm guessing i may have to wait until tomorrow to see where it is! although, i have looked at enough of the old london tracking things to see about how long it should take.

as far as "in-live"...i think the word is realtime?! im not sure...i spent time in japan, and all of my friends are pretty much non-native speakers...so my english has become very lazy and i cannot think of words quickly sometimes^^ dont worry though, i understood you fine!

well, the woman at the NVC said to me it was sent on the 1st of april, and in fact the package, according to DHL has been picked up on the 2nd.

so, maybe that's going to be the same for you.

Hey guys! How is everyone doing? Glad to see people's petition passed through NVC woo hoo! Well I just got in from NE, I am jet lagged, depressed and tired! So busy wedding planning (we set a date for October!!!!) and getting stuff ready for the interview while I was there! It was so hard to say goodbye, knowing that it will be a while before I see him again, if he comes to see me this summer, but the only thing consoling me is that we should have an interview date soon and that will be the last time I go to NE to see him as a visitor. Now that I am back in SK I can stalk the mailbox for a letter from Vancouver! LOL!

My fiance called for his IRS tax transcripts and they said that 2008 would not be available until AUGUST!! So we are getting 05, 06, 07 and made a copy of the 08 return and W-2. He was told 10-15 business days, but I heard some people say as little as 6 days after ordering. He also called his bank (USAA) about the bank letter, first he told me that it would take 3 months to get, because he has had to have one in the past for work, but more detailed. (My heart dropped) So he called today and was told 6-8 weeks!! Maybe thats just to cover their butts! LOL I hope not! Do you think we could get by in the interview with out the bank letter? Vancouver usually schedules 4-6 weeks in advance depending on if you have a preferred day of the week, maybe i could hold off sending in Pkt 3? I just really want this interview done and over with already!!! We will have tax information, letter of intent, letter from his employer, and recent pay stubs.

Anyways, I will stop rambling now and get some sleep!

The tax transcripts are for the I-134, the affidavit of support.

New question for everyone: So, like I said NVC told me that my petition left NVC yesterday. There is nothing on dhl.com with a reference of 06 APR 2009A. However, I was just being...weird I guess, and looked at 03 APR 2009A again, and there were a TON of packages with a ship date of April 6 (but the reference was the 3rd), one of which was 6.8 pounds to London. Also, another person who said that NVC told them their package also left the 6th, to Seoul, and there was Seoul on the list of 03 APR 2009A references with a ship date of April 6. So so I asusme this is my package??

I just double checked and there is a 06 APR in DHLs system now, with a shipment to London. I would be betting that is your package, not the 03 APR one (which would be Friday's shipment, even if it didn't go all the way out until Monday). For my case, they told me my shipment went out April 2nd, even though the 02 APR shows it actually went out on the 3rd. Anyway, I think your shipment will be the 06 APR that went out on the 7th (today!) and your actual tracking number for the package going to London is 9147706562.

My package got to Tokyo, so packet 3 is probably on the way! Shouldn't be long for you either, because your shipment will be in London in no time

Out of curiousity, have you gotten a letter from the NVC at all? I haven't received anything from them, just did all my correspondence on the phone.

Ah thanks! i was just about to check again! Congrats on your package being in tokyo!

No, I haven't gotten anything from NVC yet. I think they send the letter once they send the package? So I am not expecting anything until maybe Thursday. I'm guessing I may get the letter before you, since I am much closer to NH. So I will let you know when I get it!

I got a letter from NVC.

It had my LND #

The receive date

And that they would "send it on in 5 days"

I got it just the day after it shipped out, so I don't think it's the letter saying that they have forwarded it to the embassy yet. I'm hoping to have paper confirmation that it actually passed and wasn't held up soon....

I'm not positive but I think we only get one letter from the NVC. It gives us our foreign embassy and case number and says they will "send it out within 10 days" or something like that. I don't think we get anything from the NVC after that, and the next thing to come should be packet 3 from our foreign-based consulates. If you want, you can always call the foreign-based embassy and see if they have received your case yet, but calls to them cost a lot of money it seems!

I'm not sure, but we may be able to call DOS to find out about packet 3 as well? Anyone know? I know you can do that to get the interview date...I wouldn't call about Packet 3 unless its been a few weeks since the embassy/consulate supposedly received the package..

Hmm, I'm not sure about that! We aren't planning on Chiaki coming to the States until late August, so once I found out my NOA2 date was so early, I have been kinda relaxed and not worried at all about the rest because it should be really smooth and easy to get it all done inside 4 months :star:

Ah, we say we won't call now......but....

Also, I am still full steam ahead although we don't intend to PoE until September and marry in October, hoping to save all of my future inlaws from airfares which are going to be creeping back up at any moment!!
