alright so my husband is currently in Kabul and it's pretty impossible for NVC to send him the papers he needs. I already sent him the DS-3032 and DS-230 and he sent them back to me yesterday.

I called NVC today and they told me that we have to wait until they send out the papers to him because they have to generate a barcode or something? :huh:

I already generated the barcode for the ds-3032 so i have no idea what they're talking about.

i was thinking about having him email the ds-3032 so that it can get to NVC sooner. has anyone else emailed the ds-3032 for their spouse or do they have to do it themselves? ahh help please!

I'm the beneficiary and I emailed my DS-3032 after my husband called the NVC and learned that they already generated the said form. I got a response email from NVC after a week stating that they accepted my choice of agent. Until now I still don't get the hard copy of DS-3032...but it's not needed anymore. Try to email NVC for your choice of agent. Goodluck!

The DS-3032 and DS-230 are two different forms. You can email the DS-3032 only! The DS-3032 should be sent by the foreign spouse to the NVC by email once you receive your NVC case number. The DS-230 is mailed later in the NVC process and you can not email it. Look at these short cuts they are very very helpful:

Read both of these short cuts. If you don't understand something post your questions. The short cuts work and they will save you a ton of time. Some one just got through the NVC in 11 days because he was prepared and followed the short cuts.
